i thought i would post in this topic, as i am really interested in this field of research.
i have been tinkering with pendulums for about two years now, and i have VERY mixed results.
i have tried single blind tests with decks of cards, and i can honestly say that my results were no better than chance. even when dowsing for Red or Black, i still have not been able to CONSISTENTLY hit the mark.
now i must clarify here that i believe that wording, or mental states must be crucial to this. i say this because there were a few special moments were i got the exact color, AND exact number right. the trick was the wording. i had to try and extablish what my mind understood as the "face" of the card, and also what the true numerical value was. lets say i have the 3 of spades. sometimes my dowsing would result in a cumulative number of ALL the 3's on the face of the card -or- 3333. in another test it was the SUM of the 3's -or- 12. and when it came to jack, queen, king, ace, i had a terrible time trying to assign a picture to a value.
in one test i asked if there were interferances to my dowsing and i got a "yes". to my surprise i concluded that the intricate pattern on the back of the cards are designed to prevent ALL forms of cheating, including dowsing. (with Bicycle cards only)
i have tried many different materials for the pendulum, i have tried divining rods(mu conscious mind always interferes with the rods) and many others and that also has different results. you can "ask" the pendulum as to what material best suits you, and you should get an answer. i usually use a stainless steel ring, but it is greatly influenced by leigh lines, magnetism and many other things. when dowsing for my "perfect" pendulum, mine came out to be a wooden Cheops pyramid, suspended from the base (upside down)
i have yet to make this pendulum, and i wonder what the results would be..
i seem to be most accurate when it comes to energy, orgone, ether, chi or whatever, but there is no way to verify the numbers. i have also tried to dowse electricity, voltages, and amps, but i am always way off.
