Hi Lama,

We have to assign a value to a variable meaning we have to condition our subconscious mind to associate a certain swing to a certain answer.

For example, we can start by intentionally swinging the pendulum in clockwise circles telling our subconscious that a CW swing is a yes. Then, we can swing it counter CW over and over telling our subconscious that is a no. Then we can swing it to and fro telling our subconscious that is a maybe or no answer.

So, there isn't an innate answer to any swing and for everyone it can be different. We do the movement then teach the subconscious what it means.

ok .. let me get this straight .. so this is what it's all about ... our subconcious knows it all ... it knows the answers to all the questions .. coz it has access to the collective of subconciousnesses .. is that what you call the matrix btw ?? .... and therefore, after teaching ur subconcious mind how to communicate with u (meaning how to give u a yes / a no / or a maybe) u can ask anything and it will fetch the answer from the collective and give it to you ...

my questions

a) did i get that right ?

b) do we need to do the initial teaching at the beginning of every session ? or do we do it only once and our subcious will get it for life ?? awww i love our cute little subconcious mind

c) can we depend on what our pendulum tells us ? .. 100% ??

d) does our mood affect it?

e) do magnetic and electric fields surrounding us affect it ?? cell phones ?? computers ?? wireless networks...etc etc..

i've been reading for a while about it ... but .. in my life i have read soooooooo much .. i feel its the time to start getting the information ordered in my mind from the right sources .. namely .. the lovely people who have experience ..

Pendulum??

Lama, thanks for posting this question. I am not exactly sure what you are referring to however.

It sounds as if using a pendulum can answer questions, is this right? I remember once when my girlfriend was pregnant she and another friend used a pendulum to find out the sex of her unborn child along with how many children she would eventually give birth to.

At this point, I don't remember the answers or if they were proven to be right or wrong. I might just ask her if she remembers.

ok Pammie ... i'll brief you with what I know about the pendulum ...

anyone is welcomed to correct me if im wrong ... or to add to what i say or to clarify a point .. etc etc

i know that the pendulum can tell u things .... lets not start with the asking it questions part ... what i know is ... that ... it responds in a certain way to the vibrations of beings ... and even to the non-living things i think ...

so .. if you're healthy and good and you bring the pendulum close to your pulse (tip of ur wrist or your neck) it will oscillate in an anti-clockwise manner ... and if you're sick or not feeling so well .. it will move in the other direction (clockwise) ... and also, you can discover lies instantly with the pendulum .. try it yourself ... say a true statement and see how it reacts .. then say a lie and see how it swings in the opposite direction ..

mmmm.... what else do i know .... ya .... and when it comes to asking it questions ... my understanding is that it does so through the subconcious mind who already knows it all (as i explained above) .. and it can give u a yes or a no answer .... given that you have to first teach it its pattern of movement and how u want it to communicate with you (isnt that cute ..) ..

please i need comments on what im saying ... how right am i on all what i have said ?? ...

and one more question (adding it to my list of questions up there) .. does the pendulum have to be metallic ? and the bob (as the call the pendant part of it) does it have to be either a metal or a precious stone ?? .. that's also my understanding, so i wanna make sure this point has authentic origins.

Oh ... and one more thing i forgot to add .... i also know - and have tried it - that it responds to pictures too ... how ?? ... if the person in the picture is alive, it goes clockwise .. if they're not it goes anti-clockwise ... try it urself too .. its amazing

now i need to clarify the clockwise / anti-clockwise matter ... im not sure which one is positive by default (lol .. computer stuff since im in the IT field ...) ..

pendulum programming

Hi Lama,

Of course none of this is hard science but according to what we seem to have and understanding of, this seems to explain it the most accurately.

The collective knows it all and our subconscious has access to that infinite library of information.

The collective is the matrix and the subconscious is a librarian that accesses the collective.

We have to tell the subconscious how we want the info delivered. Otherwise, we'll just be given a bunch of data from the collective that doesn't make sense and our imagination will try to make sense of it meaning that our imagination twists it into something other than what it is.

But yes, after teaching the subconscious how to give us the info, we will have more and more reliability.

That is the beauty of TRV. There is a built in way to know what data we write down that is unfiltered and what data is made up by our imagination. That is a very powerful and profound distinction to recognize and very few can separate the two without TRV. Of course there are non-trv'ers who have very gifted ability but is very rare to bring through data without their own imagination twisting it.

The training of the subconscious to give us a yes/no/maybe, etc... only has to be done early on but not after the subconscious really gets it. Of course, the imagination and the person can unconsciously try to influence how the pendulum swings and there isn't an easy way for the person to know the difference. That is where various mind techniques through meditation, etc.. comes in handy to have the person master BEING without judgment and the voice in their head running things.

I'm sure magnetic fields, cell phones, etc... affect our minds and our mind's interpretation.

Bob of the pendulum

Hi Lama -

You had asked if the bob of the pendulum needs to be metal or a precious stone. According to the link you provided, it can be pretty much anything including a sea shell or even an acorn.

I guess you would want to use something that resonates with you. For instance, if I were to make one for myself, I would want a sea shell since I love the beach so much

I just started using one

I was always scared about the source of this type of information as well as its validity. I have now come to realize its a mechanical response from the subconscious direclty.

As Aaron pointed out, validity of the answers really depend to what extent one can allow the answer to take place without interference. My understanding relates to TRV's final sketch, but without the learning curve per say. I believe it to be a wonderful tool in verifying information and fine tunning some other diciplines, including TRV. My belief also comes with a personal caution. It is a tool and like any tool, there is a fine line between using to better oneself and forming an addictive dependency for living, IMHO.
It is a great tool though

I just begun using a spoon held by a rubber band. It makes it much more sensitive to the movement. So far its seems very accurate. The questioning format and answer has troubled me though. In other words I can ask a question on a choice about future events. This however pre-supposes the Optimum scenario posted in TRV. So far though it seems to use the same principle.

Also keep in mind that alot of questions one might have about usage can be answered directly from it. Fascinating. The subconscious can direct you in how to use it best

Pendulum Ponderings

Hi Lama, Pamela, Bluelq, and Aaron,
I have used a pendulum for a long time. In the beginning I wondered how it worked but it always seemed to be right on. I inuitively knew it was a tool I could use at times when I needed clarification and it was something I added to my tool box.
It can be fun making your own or choosing your own and if go to purchase one it is really interesting to try several out - when I got mine, I tried out some and they just didn't 'feel' like they were for me and then I picked up one and it virtually when crazy in my hands swinging yes, yes, yes - or what I thought was a yes.
I asked it to show me a yes and a no and a maybe - thinking all the while WOW this is something.
I did come to understand though it is all us - as Aaron put it so clearly - as he always does but I did love the 'mystical' aspect of this tiny crystal on a chain.
It is used in many ways and I have heard that some healers use it to 'test' chakras for clarity etc. when doing treatments.
As anything else, use one if it speaks to you and feels good, have fun with it.

I have an interesting story about one that I will share-
A friend of mine had been on holidays in the sunny south and while there she saw this wonderful teardrop crystal that she had to have. She bought it and a very expensive necklace to put it onto. She even had the jeweller add a special link so it would not fall off. Well she put it on and it immediately fell off her neck, she did it again and once again it fell off - this continued for several times even when she changed chains. So she put it in her pocket and brought it home.
She brought it to me and told me the story and I laughed with her - as soon as she brought it out of her purse - I knew it was a pendulum crystal - I held it by the chain at about 6 inches and it began to swing dramatically in circles.
I told her as we laughed that this crystal was a pendulum and not a piece of jewellry to wear around her neck.
When she held it - it immediately showed her a yes, no and maybe. They were different directions than mine - which goes to show,again, Aaron is right on about us programming the movement.
Anyway the 'pendulum' is now being used when she has question and wants some clarification.

I also have used a pendulumn for a couple years. What I understood from the beginning, is you "program" your pendulumn so you can understand it's meaning. If you want it to show "no"....for me I have it swing back and forth....for it to show me "yes" i have it swing in a circle.

I bought a book when I got my pendulmn, and it also said to ask it before you use it....you say (or something like this) "is a being of the higher light willing to work through my pendulumn" (wait for answer) then say "is a being of the highest light working through my pendulumn now?" wait for answer.

This way you are only receiving good through your pendulumn....this is what I understood. Also, I believe you should clear your pendlumn, through running water, or an incense. When I ask the initial question "is a being of the higher light working through my pendlumn" if the answer is really wonky....like it swings funny....then I know I need to clear my pendlumn.

Hi kids,

My daughter turned me on to the pendulum thing a couple of years ago. She had a beautiful rose-colored crystal on a gold chain. She got very very dependent on it, to the point where she would panic if she lost it, etc. I used a natural pearl necklace that I had knotted at the end. My energy field is apparently very strong, b/c whenever I would ask my "pendulum" a question, either yes or no, it would go crazy. "Yes" would be fast fast high circles, "no" fast horizontal back and forth. Amazing.

I took it seriously as a divination tool until one day it gave me some very very weird answers, that contradicted each other, in rapid succession. Since I have a very strong energy field I decided to experiment with it. I discovered that if I pump out positive, happy, upbeat feelings it says "yes." If I pump out lower-level feelings it says "no." I can get a "yes" and a "no" to the exact same question, within seconds of asking, just by changing the quality of the energy I put out towards the pendulum.

So, for my money, it's not accurate in terms of prediction. It is accurate in showing you where you are on the vibrational scale around that particular question....since you can attract what you don't want by focusing on it in a negative way, and you can attract what you DO want by focusing on it in a positive way....for me this stopped being useful. My daughter no longer needs hers either. She pays attention to how she's feeling because she knows that affects what she's creating.

Very Interesting Observation

I found out something similar.

The pendulum responds to the inner feeling associated with the thought. Not the verbal question. As such I would speculate that if you ask a question of the nature "Should I take this job as my next optimum choice?" If you trully center the feeling of the question in your mind then the answer will not be diversified. Feeling !!!! Thought alone will not yield accurate answers. Under speculation again, I would think that when you ask a question of that nature, and feel positive excited etc. The pendulum is answering to the positive energy as a yes, not the question, or the specifics. So to get a better accuracy factor it is important to be able to center ones feelings upon the question, ie the pondering feeling, and see the asnwer.

One way to test validity is to ask something that you are wondering about but that you will find out soon. It is probably best to ask about someone else, without a full invasion of privacy, in as such you won't skew the answer based on your own expectations. For example, you know that "John will buy X car", he has told you. Ask what the color will be, a small thing that does not really cause an issue but that would restore your faith in the answer process. Your internal belief is huge as well, if you think that its not accurate it probably won't be. In other words you will phrase questions and feelings in opposing matter to prove that it is not.

It is something to consider that this tool has the ability to tune out if you begi to rely on it for your own decision process. I think, it would stop you from using it, possibly by even giving you false answers. I believe it has an intrinsic value of helping you above everything else. Even to the point of not using it. Whatever is best.

You really put a great post out there. It brought to my attention an aspect that makes a huge difference..
