'TIME-TRAVELER' BUSTED FOR INSIDER TRADING

NEW YORK -- Federal investigators have arrested an enigmatic Wall Street wiz on insider-trading charges -- and incredibly, he claims to be a time-traveler from the year 2256!

Sources at the Security and Exchange Commission confirm that 44-year-old Andrew Carlssin offered the bizarre explanation for his uncanny success in the stock market after being led off in handcuffs on January 28.

"We don't believe this guy's story -- he's either a lunatic or a pathological liar," says an SEC insider.

"But the fact is, with an initial investment of only $800, in two weeks' time he had a portfolio valued at over $350 million. Every trade he made capitalized on unexpected business developments, which simply can't be pure luck.

"The only way he could pull it off is with illegal inside information. He's going to sit in a jail cell on Rikers Island until he agrees to give up his sources."

The past year of nose-diving stock prices has left most investors crying in their beer. So when Carlssin made a flurry of 126 high-risk trades and came out the winner every time, it raised the eyebrows of Wall Street watchdogs.

"If a company's stock rose due to a merger or technological breakthrough that was supposed to be secret, Mr. Carlssin somehow knew about it in advance," says the SEC source close to the hush-hush, ongoing investigation.

When investigators hauled Carlssin in for questioning, they got more than they bargained for: A mind-boggling four-hour confession.

Carlssin declared that he had traveled back in time from over 200 years in the future, when it is common knowledge that our era experienced one of the worst stock plunges in history. Yet anyone armed with knowledge of the handful of stocks destined to go through the roof could make a fortune.

"It was just too tempting to resist," Carlssin allegedly said in his videotaped confession. "I had planned to make it look natural, you know, lose a little here and there so it doesn't look too perfect. But I just got caught in the moment."

In a bid for leniency, Carlssin has reportedly offered to divulge "historical facts" such as the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden and a cure for AIDS.

All he wants is to be allowed to return to the future in his "time craft."

However, he refuses to reveal the location of the machine or discuss how it works, supposedly out of fear the technology could "fall into the wrong hands."

Officials are quite confident the "time-traveler's" claims are bogus. Yet the SEC source admits, "No one can find any record of any Andrew Carlssin existing anywhere before December 2002."

Time-Traveler Resurfaces

Andrew Carlssin, the alleged time-traveler and insider-trader, has surfaced in Toronto, Canada.

Stories and rumors have circulated on Internet websites and in chatrooms for years about how Carlssin turned $800 into a $350 Million fortune. This sudden wealth raised the suspicion of the Security and Exchange Commission, which requested the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrest him. The FBI initially detained him in January 2003.

"The only way he could pull it off is with illegal inside information", said a confidential SEC source.

While in custody on Rikers Island Carlssin is alleged to have confessed, "It was just too tempting to resist. I had planned to make it look natural, you, know, lose a little here and there so it doesn't look too perfect. But I just got caught in the moment."

He also claimed that he had traveled back in time from over 200 years in the future where knowledge concerning the volatility of the stock market was well known. This is where the story takes another strange twist. While waiting arraignment in jail Carlssin just disappeared. What's even more surprising is that the story disappeared as well. No newspaper or media reports followed up on the original story. Repeated phone calls and emails to both the SEC and the FBI failed to even acknowledge the arrest of Carlssin.

But now the mystery has been solved. In an exclusive interview Carlssin, speaking on the record, tells all. His only conditions were that his exact location not be revealed and that the name of his new company not be disclosed until it goes public, which he predicts will be in 2007.

Andrew Carlssin is alive and well and living in the Toronto area! "I don't know what all the fuss was about", said Carlssin. "The authorities and I came to a mutual understanding and I was released to leave the country."

Carlssin was a 44-year-old when the incident was reported three years ago, but he doubts that he has aged a day. When asked what he had been doing during the missing years, he chuckled and simply said, "No comment!"

The original story that appeared in the Weekly World News stated that Carlssin was from the future. Commenting on the story he said, "Timing is everything and everything happens in time. I am here now so this is my time."

Carlssin states that he works in the oil industry and is developing equipment to extract oil from the Alberta tar sands. Carlssin claims that Alberta sits atop the biggest petroleum deposit outside the Middle East, and that 300 billion barrels a day can be recovered. Until now there has been a catch. Alberta's oil isn't the stuff that geysers up from the ground. It is mixed with tar and sand and is almost impossible to extract economically.

Carlssin states that he had invented a process that filters out the tar and sand and the oil recovered is the richest and cleanest in the world. The process, which he named "Carlssinicity", extracts the oil for a cost of only one dollar per barrel and does not pollute the atmosphere! He claims to be very excited about the project and foresees his invention revolutionizing the world and the way we perceive oil. "It's as easy as making a pot of coffee", he added.

In concluding the interview Carlssin added, "Oil is not the product of dead dinosaurs. It is the biological breakdown of renewable organic matter: the blood and energy of the planet. Every school age child knows this…or will."

I don't know if it really was Andrew Carlssin I interviewed over the telephone, but I believe it was and I don't think this will be the last time we hear from him. I asked why he contacted me specifically and he said, 'Anyone that believes in UFOs already believes in me."

One more thing, the caller reminded me that Saturday was April 1. Timing is everything!

THE TRUE STORY OF A HOAX OR A TRUE STORY

In October 2000, a person using the nickname TimeTravel_0, and later John Titor began posting on internet forums and engaging in chat conversations claiming that he was a time traveller from the year 2036. He stated that he had been here for three months as part of a United States Army unit on a special operation to bring back an obsolete computer system, and that he would be happy to post pictures of his time machine and answer questions about it.

Several people had already attempted a hoax of this kind unsuccessfully, so many immediately dismissed his claim as no more than that. But as people started to question him, they realised that this was somewhat different to 'usual' hoaxes. Titor had a lot to say and with his answers becoming increasingly intriguing, people began wondering whether they hadn't underestimated his claims.


Pictures of his time machine did indeed materialise of a ‘C204 Gravity Distortion Time Displacement Unit' including several pages from it's supposed operating manual. The continual peppering by hundreds of tough, well thought out questions on all kinds of subjects carried on about the details of his mission, life in 2036, the advanced physics behind his time machine and his opinions on us and our time. He continued to relentlessly, albeit calmly, answer them for over 6 months.

John gradually painted a picture of his time in which life is very different and the world is slowly recovering from a massive but short World War III which claimed the lives of 3 billion people in 2015.

Leading up to this, he said, are the ‘building blocks' of the war. Civil unrest is supposed to develop around the time of this year's Presidential elections, followed by numerous civil wars, most notably in America and Britain, which steadily get worse. The conflicts are fuelled by a belief by the governments that people will choose to give up many of their civil rights and liberties for increased security against terrorist activities. John Titor told us this belief is flawed, and there will gradually evolve an uprising against the manifestation of increasingly oppressive, unlawful, police state style governement tactics.

On the 24th of March, 2001, John Titor said he would be leaving this ‘worldline' and returning to his own. After this last post, he was never heard from again.

One of the most significant things to consider is that John appeared to possess this detailed knowledge of our current political climate long before issues like this were ever even apparent, as various comments and ‘predictions' he made appear now to be coming true.
Subjects such as the failure to find Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, The Hutton Inquiry, the ‘War on Terror', The USA Patriot Acts I & II, Guantanamo Bay, 9-11 and many other areas related to our increasingly vulnerable position of security in the world were either hinted at or discussed at length by John more than three years before these stories started to emerge, and at least 6 months before the terrorist atrocities of 11th September 2001. Indeed, in the UK, it has just been announced that a new FBI-like agency will be formed – SOCA (Serious Organised Crime Agency) – which will presumably be given new powers to detain suspected terrorists in the way American agencies already are. In the last month (September 2004), Britain has had it's first taste of civil unrest since the Poll Tax riots in the form of pro-fox hunt protesters breaching security at the House of Commons and rioting outside Parliament.

John also told us about specific discoveries that would happen at the CERN particle physics laboratories, as well as the discovery of CJD (Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease) in America and the development of the Segway Human Transporter by the US military as a battlefield robot. These have all proved in some part to be true.

It seems almost impossible for a hoaxer to have second guessed international developments like these so far into the future with this much accuracy, considering that there really was no talk of large scale anti-terrorism actions before 9-11. And if we're likely to see more civil disobedience of the kind mentioned above escalating here and in the US, it's going to be difficult not to believe he was actually a time traveller.

On top of his predictions, John Titor's postings exhibit a very chilling and confident thread of internal consistency making it even harder to just dismiss it all. His interesting use of grammar and syntax (and more specifically his non-use of current colloquialisms and slang), through the submittal of numerous sound technical drawings and photographic documentation, plus the formulation and implementation of a logically and physically cogent theory for a time manipulation device, even in the eyes of physicists, suggest that if this is a man who has orchestrated a hoax, it is surely one of the greatest pieces of ‘work' ever produced, boasting sheer volume and quality of information for no apparent motive and with no tangible return.

So far, his story has held up to much scrutiny and investigation by experts in the various fields that he made comment on, but no-one has yet been able to prove or disprove it either way. There are still daily arguments on the various forums that John frequented, even from those people that first exchanged communication with him. It seems this story has caused quite a reaction and is forever gaining popularity.

The purpose of this website is to present the story from a British viewpoint, mostly for reasons of good entertainment, but also to try to work out if this claim could possibly be true by attempting to properly analyse the wealth of information presented in an unbiased way using a variety of different means, including, not least, the presentation for the first time of ALL John's postings and IRC conversations available in the public domain. Various little known excerpts of John's writings have been added from many sources and the reader is able to review exactly in what context and by whom a question was put to John, while being colour coded for easy searching and navigation.

I agree the first story seems like a hoax. The possiblity is disturbing yet somehow feels true. Indeed it might be a hoax, but a hoax played by someone in the future

If time travel does become common, it would be a fun ride. Especially if it does not really have impact on the timeline since with his removal the timeline essentially erases the past and by extension his presence.

I can imagine a few people I knew that would use time travel in that way

One group posted this, and there are others that have this description of John Titor. I'll post more later, but is anyone here following any John Titor stuff? I'm not making any claims about it being real or fake, but just a curiosity

Although there is debate over the exact date it started, on November 02, 2000, a person calling themselves Timetravel_0, and later John Titor, started posting on a public forum that he was a time traveler from the year 2036. One of the first things he did was post pictures of his time machine and its operations manual. As the weeks went by, more and more people began questioning him about why he was here, the physics of time travel and his thoughts about our time. On March 24, 2001, John Titor told us he would be leaving our time and returning to 2036. After that, he was never heard from again. howzit, these so called time travellers , if real are probably using existing technolagy, the mind.they very well might be travelling all over the time circuit,but in a very light craft,consciousness,soul or whatever,not affected by the parabolic weight increase asyou reach light speed.a dam site cheeper and safer than taking the whole body.if not we should be seeing little disturbances in magnetic shift or history in ther local area,perhaps,cheers.

Time Travel

Technical Remote Viewing is a proven time travel method allowing the mind to bilocate to any time/place. So in the future, using the mind has probably advanced quite a bit to make it much more powerful.

My interest is the future's influence on the past...(our present).

If it is physical travel from there to here, can they come as themselves or do they send something else that is more suited for time travel by whatever method?

Maybe some of the Grays are genetically engineered drones made for the purpose of coming here to influence the course of our events in order to change things that went wrong and happened in the future.

Just some fun things to think about.

I remember becoming VERY interested in Titor when I was a blind tester for the synch mod. Once it was revealed what the mod was, it all made sense.

I read a lot of JT posts and was very fascinated, not so much by the technological aspects (bc I'm not super savvy with them) but more the story line and the aspects of the time travel.

JT claimed that there was at least a 2% difference bt the future world he came from and this one bc of technical aspects in time travel.

Though he didn't outright say so, imo he implied that he had done something to prevent more Y2K problems in our timeline (so this act could have then made it more than 2%) which may have been a precursor to what happened eventually in the future he came from, in which the government eventually shut off the grid as a way to manipulate people.

All in all his posts seemed consistent to me. The one thing that leaves me with doubt is that there didn't seem to be any new slang or phrases that he ever used. I'd a thought there would be some differences in lingo. Although he said he was trained extensively to fit in to the present time, you'd think he would have given some example of the lingo used so far into the future.

He had a good explanation for why we don't see other time travelers, which you would think you would if time travel does ever become possible.

He said or implied (can't remember) that it was too risky for them to reveal themselves, meaning there could very well be others here but we just don't know it (!)

I enjoyed reading the posts bc it took my mind to some far out places thinking about what it would be like to live with yourself as a toddler (he apparently had found his father and family in the present and he was a toddler at that point in this time line). There was also a romantic plot with a woman and him traveling back to help her that I don't remember the details of. (Apparently he took some liberties and was doing a few things he considered to be important for personal reasons outside of his given mission.)
