Russian researchers find more evidence to support notion that lightning is caused by cosmic rays

(Phys.org) —Russian physicists Alex Gurevich and Anatoly Karashtin claim, in a paper published in the journal Physical Review Letters, they have found more evidence to support their idea that lightning is caused by cosmic rays. The notion was first proposed by Gurevich back in 1992, and has been a source of debate ever since.

One of the first mentions of the automatic writing method used in the Ouija board is found in China around 1100 AD, in historical documents of the Song Dynasty. The method was known as fuji (扶乩), "planchette writing". The use of planchette writing as an ostensible means of contacting the dead and the spirit-world continued, and, albeit under special rituals and supervisions, was a central practice of the Quanzhen School, until it was forbidden by the Qing Dynasty.[9] Several entire scriptures of the Daozang are supposedly works of automatic planchette writing. Yggdrasil, is described in the Nordic Eddas as the largest tree to have ever grown. Its branches overhang the nine worlds and spread above the heavens. The tree is supported by three roots: one descends into Jotunheim (see map below); one into the fog world of Nifelhel close to the spring of Hvergelmir where the dragon Nidhogg gnaws at the root from below; and one is embedded near Asgard beneath Urd's well. Water from Urd's well is mixed with earth by the three Norns, the weavers of fate: Urd the Grandmother, Skuld the mother and Verdandi the maiden. This earth/water mixture is used to prevent Yggdrasil's bark from rotting. The three Norns are sometimes referred to as the triple goddess because time was not perceived as linear by the Germanic tribes. They understood what we call time to be "that which is"; referencing what is right now, in this moment. That is the meaning of Urd (or Wyrd) the primary Norn. The past is included in "that which is" and the future is being molded or shaped by "that which is". Yggdrasil connects the nine worlds: Asgard, Vanaheim, Muspelheim, Midgard, Lightalfheim, Swartalfheim, Hel, Jotunheim and Nifelhel. The image map below shows the location of these nine worlds.

I never did answer you regarding the Seal of SoloMON**, or was it on the Hermes thread we were discussing this?

To my knowledge the Seal of Solomon was first associated with the Pentagram, later the Hexagram.

And it makes sense if you consider Pentagrams were used as an important religious symbol by the Babylonians and by the Pythagoreans.

So today we have two symbols that are called the Seal of Solomon.
But something as important as the Seal of Solomon might be connected to our DNA?

The 15,000-year-old ancestral language that birthed English and Russian - The Week

In this study, a team of linguists from the University of Reading found clues that many modern languages — including but not limited to English, Russian, Portuguese, and more — descended from a single ancestral tongue some 15,000 years ago. "Everybody in Eurasia can trace their linguistic ancestry back to a group, or groups, of people living around 15,000 years ago, probably in southern Europe, as the ice sheets were retreating," Mark Pagel, an evolutionary biologist at Reading University, tells the Guardian.

How did researchers figure this out? They looked at a small handful of words in several languages that resemble each other in sound, look, and meaning. These kindred terms — like father (English) and Padre (Italian) — are referred to as "cognates."

Using these similar-sounding words as road markers, the team unearthed 23 "ultraconserved words" that, at the very least, would have sounded vaguely familiar to our ancient ancestors 150 centuries ago. According to the Washington Post, these entries include "mother," "not," "what," "man," "hand," "thou," "spit," and several others. (See the rest of the examples in a PDF here.)

In addition to Indo-European, the language families included Altaic (whose modern members include Turkish, Uzbek and Mongolian); Chukchi-Kamchatkan (languages of far northeastern Siberia); Dravidian (languages of south India); Inuit-Yupik (Arctic languages); Kartvelian (Georgian and three related languages) and Uralic (Finnish, Hungarian and a few others).
