A mirror neuron is a neuron that fires both when an animal acts and when the animal observes the same action performed by another.[1][2][3] Thus, the neuron "mirrors" the behavior of the other, as though the observer were itself acting. Such neurons have been directly observed in primate and other species including birds. In humans, brain activity consistent with that of mirror neurons has been found in the premotor cortex, the supplementary motor area, the primary somatosensory cortex and the inferior parietal cortex.

The function of the mirror system is a subject of much speculation. We always talk about the Ninth Sphere, which is the center of the Earth. That is the end of the Ray of Creation. Yet, in our physicality the Ninth Sphere relates to our sexuality. Yes, in our sex, which is the Ninth Sphere, Yesod, is where we find the very center of our own particular Microcosmos, our physicality. If we allow Nature to go mechanically through us, what are we going to do with our sexual force that relates to the same vibration of the Ninth Sphere, with the note Re? We will multiply our species. This is what the animals do, what the plants do; multiplication of the organic life in order for this planet to continue to exist in space. Reproduction comes from desire, from our own mechanical nature within. So, it is necessary to go to the very bottom of the end of that Ray, which is the Ninth Sphere, and to return that light by will, for our own benefit. That is why it is written that it is necessary to descend into the Ninth Sphere in order to receive the Initiation. Yet, that descent has to be conscious, through our own will.




To descend into the Ninth Sphere means to go into the sexual act, it means to go to the very bottom of the Ray of Creation. The Ninth Sphere is the abode of Lucifer, "light and fire."

What do we have to do in the Ninth Sphere? We have to return the fire, not to allow it to go downward mechanically as it does, and to be dissolved in Hell. Instead, we want to return it, that is, to awake the Kundalini, to awake the Christ, the Light inside of us, in our spinal column, by utilizing Thelema. This is difficult, because all of the centripetal forces that go from the periphery to the center of the Earth are going to fight against us, because we are fighting against the centripetal forces of our planetary zone, and the universe. We want to make that Cosmic Ray to vibrate centrifugally in us, to make in its return to sound the notes, Do, Re, Mi, Fa, Sol, La, Si in our spinal column. This is not easy. We have to fight against our own animal nature. That Nature is our own physicality, our own mind, our own emotions; that Nature that wants to procreate for its own mechanical purpose.

Beauty and the brain: Electrical stimulation of the brain makes you perceive faces as more attractive

(Medical Xpress)—Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and—as researchers have now shown—in the brain as well.

The researchers, led by scientists at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), have used a well-known, noninvasive technique to electrically stimulate a specific region deep inside the brain previously thought to be inaccessible. The stimulation, the scientists say, caused volunteers to judge faces as more attractive than before their brains were stimulated.

Being able to effect such behavioral changes means that this electrical stimulation tool could be used to noninvasively manipulate deep regions of the brain—and, therefore, that it could serve as a new approach to study and treat a variety of deep-brain neuropsychiatric disorders, such as Parkinson's disease and schizophrenia, the researchers say.

Using brain stimulation, he thinks it’s possible to temporarily remove that mental suppression and unlock the savant inside each of us. In their latest study, published in April in Neuroscience Letters, Snyder and graduate student Richard Chi tested people’s performance on a geometric puzzle called the nine dots problem (right).




The goal is to connect all nine dots using just four straight lines, without lifting your pen up or retracing a line. It’s a classic problem that researchers have been giving people for a century, but in the majority of experiments, no participants are able to solve it, even with plenty of time and many attempts. (If you have tried and failed, here’s the solution.)

Snyder and Chi had their subjects attempt to solve the problem while wearing an electrode cap. After a few minutes without brain stimulation, half of the subjects received stimulation while the other half received no stimulation. Here’s the interesting part: Whereas none of the subjects solved the problem before brain stimulation, more than 40 percent of subjects in the stimulation group solved the problem after being zapped. Talk about being struck by inspiration.

In case you’re imagining some kind of Frankensteinian setup for electrifying people’s brains, it’s nothing like that. The technique, called transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), involves applying a weak electrical current to the scalp through a pair of electrodes on sponges. It’s a widely used technique that is considered safe, with minor side effects. Other researchers have shown cognitive improvements using the same method applied to other brain areas, but Snyder and Chi are the first to use stimulation to mimic savant brain physiology.

Autism, left frontotemporal dementia, and savantism resulting from brain injury have all been associated with deficits in the left hemisphere of the brain. Though the left brain/right brain skill dichotomy is an oversimplification, they do specialize in function, says Treffert. The left brain, which is dominant in most people, is more heavily involved in language and reason, while the right brain plays a bigger role in visuospatial and artistic ability. Scientists theorize that in savants, limitations in left-brain function allow the right brain to compensate. In Snyder and Chi’s study, they applied stimulation to suppress brain activity in the left anterior temporal lobe while simultaneously exciting activity in the right anterior temporal lobe.

The scholar Deborah Soifer describes the development of the concept of lokas as follows:

The concept of a loka or lokas develops in the Vedic literature. Influenced by the special connotations that a word for space might have for a nomadic people, loka in the Veda did not simply mean place or world, but had a positive valuation: it was a place or position of religious or psychological interest with a special value of function of its own.
Hence, inherent in the 'loka' concept in the earliest literature was a double aspect; that is, coexistent with spatiality was a religious or soteriological meaning, which could exist independent of a spatial notion, an 'immaterial' significance. The most common cosmological conception of lokas in the Veda was that of the trailokya or triple world: three worlds consisting of earth, atmosphere or sky, and heaven, making up the universe."[1]

Hari (Sanskrit: हरि) has many meanings and sometimes refers to a colour, green, yellow, or fawn-coloured/khaki. It is the colour of the Sun and of Soma. The word Hari is widely used in Dharmic literature as worshipable lord covering Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh religions.

Hari is a famous name of Vedic Supreme God Vishnu (Narayana). It appears as 650th name of Lord Vishnu in Vishnu sahasranama of Mahabharata.
