Leo Africanus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Joannes Leo Africanus (in spanish ) León el Africano, (c. 1494 – c. 1554?) (or al-Hasan ibn Muhammad al-Wazzan al-Fasi, Arabic:حسن ابن محمد الوزان الفاسي) was a Moorish diplomat and author who is best known for his book Descrittione dell’Africa (Description of Africa) describing the geography of North Africa.
from the french version of wikipedia:

Hassan al-Wazzan was born about 1488 in Granada in Muslim Andalusia . After taking the city in 1492 by Catholic Monarchs , Isabella of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon , his family fled to Morocco in the city of Fez
In 1518, back from the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, the ship on which he is attacked, and he was taken prisoner by the "Sicilian sea." It is actually captured by a knight of the Order of St. John, Pedro di Bobadilla. Probably because it has few mistakes to be forgiven, it actually present to Pope Leo X , who adopted as son, catechizing and baptizing the fact under his own name, John Leo. It then becomes Jean-Léon de Medici , known as "Leo Africanus". While in Italy , he learned Italian and Latin, and teaches Arabic at Bologna . Upon request of the pope, he wrote his famous Cosmographia of Affrica , published in Venice under the title Description of Africa . This reference book, which carefully avoids giving military information, is the only source of information on life, manners, and customs in Africa the xvi th century. It is especially through this book that Timbuktu is a mythical city in the European imagination, and it is the inspiration for Rene Caillie party to its discovery. It is also the Bible of all diplomats and explorers interested in Africa.

There is no reliable information on the date and place of death of Leo Africanus.

The Cosmographia Del' Africa and the 1931 manuscript (again the 30's )

In 1550, a Venetian editor published the 1st volume of what would become the most notorious geographical periodical of the times:Navigationi et Viaggi. Among the texts of this volume, and prominently advertised as its most intriguing work was the Cosmographia Dell' Africa, a description of Africa by Leo Africanus.
Leo's fame was immediate, as never before had Western readers delved into the culture and intricacies of Muslim worlds, with such detail and such "objectivity". Leo's novelty was to write in Italian, from a "native" perspective.
While Leo's fame traveled across the globe, no one could locate him. By 1550, he was either dead, or back in North Africa, where no texts seem to make reference to his presence. More importantly, no one seemed to have access to his original manuscript, which his initial editor had admitted changing in several instances. Thus, as the number of translations increased, so did the variations in wording and meaning.
a fractal construct has an 'efficient function', it has a fractal ergonomy to them, they function on multiple levels and in multiple dimensions:

      Leo's works:

      Cosmographia Del Africa:
Leo's most important work is the Cosmographia Del Africa, a text first published in Italy in 1550. This initial publication was the work of Ramusio, a Venetian editor who did not know Leo, and admitted to 'modifying' Leo's text. For centuries, scholars worked on this 'modified' version, or its translations (some good, some particularly bad).
In 1931, Ms. Angela Codazzi 'discovered' Leo's original manuscript in the Library of the Vatican, unveiling great differences between Ramusio's text and Leo's original words. Unfortunately since this discovery, no scholar has edited and published the manuscript- though several have worked on excerpts. Amongst the most impressive is D. Rauchenberger's German translation of the pages relating to Leo's travels in the Sudan (in, Johannes Leo der Afrikaner, Seine Beschreibung des Raumes zwischen Nil und Niger nach dem Urtext, 1999, Harrassowitz Publishing House). Professor O. Zhiri (UC Davis) and Professor N. Zemon-Davis (Princeton) have also done extensive work on the manuscript. As of 2003 there was talk of finding funding for editing the manuscript...

Change your body from 'Acidic' to 'Alkaline'; according to Cancer specialist Dr. Leonard Coldwell, this alone will stop cancer from growing.
Dr. Leonard Coldwell states that every cancer can be cured within 16 weeks. Dr. Coldwell states how that's possible in this video.

I just wanted to mention this for the curious mind and important ...For most of the research done on medical use of electromagnetic waves; one aspect has been overlooked and that is to obtain optimal results such as in the use of Violet rays....the Antenna / the patient has to have followed an Alkaline Diet...In this research I have found that Alkaline Water and Diet enhances the healing aspect of the body.

          ---------------------from a previous post http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...tml#post163380

          According to Marcel:

This structuring is best assayed with a UV spectro-photometer where one finds an increase in UV absorption due to an increase in the water bonding from the water forming chains on itself. The magnetic moment of this structured water is increased by 0.07 gauss and there is also an increase in the pH and dielectric conductivity.
          sorry for the repetition;

          key word quartz

Edgar Cayce often recommended animated ash and ultra-violet light therapy for persons suffering from cancer. The readings stated that the animated ash would increase the oxygen in the body and assist the immune system in fighting the cancer.
" Animated ash was a form of bamboo that was reduced to activated charcoal by means of a partial vacuum electrical carbon arc process. The resulting ash (alkaline ) was taken internally

Cayce’s dietary recommendations for cancer tended to follow several key themes:

          • Eat a diet that tends to produce a balanced pH in the system with
          a tendency towards alkalinity.

Imagine a medical tool where you take a UV laser pointer or violet ray and place a healthy cell , like stem cells, contained in a quartz lens and then shoot the UV laser through it, which would carry the healthy information in the beam, to heal sick people .
so to increase the UV effect, an Alkaline diet would be recommended

Fact: The miracle water of Lourdes, France had a pH of 9.5.

maybe it is a typo mistake as it occurs often when you type quite a bit of text

9 is the male side of a system and 6 the female side....in any system you will find the analogy for 6 3 9

if you are familiar with the movie Brazil you will understand:

Brazil is a 1985 British science fiction fantasy/black comedy film directed by Terry Gilliam. It was written by Gilliam, Charles McKeown, and Tom Stoppard and stars Jonathan Pryce. The film also features Robert De Niro, Kim Greist, Michael Palin, Katherine Helmond, Bob Hoskins, and Ian Holm. John Scalzi's Rough Guide to Sci-Fi Movies describes the film as a "dystopian satire".

The film centres on Sam Lowry, a man trying to find a woman who appears in his dreams while he is working in a mind-numbing job and living a life in a small apartment, set in a dystopian world in which there is an over-reliance on poorly maintained (and rather whimsical) machines. Brazil's bureaucratic, totalitarian government is reminiscent of the government depicted in George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four,[1][2] except that it has a buffoonish, slapstick quality and lacks a Big Brother figure.

              • from: Acid - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An acid (from the Latin acidus/acēre meaning sour[1]) is a substance which reacts with a base. Commonly, , acids can be identified as tasting sour, reacting with metals such as calcium, and bases like sodium carbonate. Aqueous acids have a pH of less than 7, where an acid of lower pH is typically stronger. Chemicals or substances having the property of an acid are said to be acidic.

Common examples of acids include acetic acid (in vinegar), sulfuric acid (used in car batteries), and tartaric acid (used in baking). As these three examples show, acids can be solutions, liquids, or solids. Gases such as hydrogen chloride can be acids as well. Strong acids and some concentrated weak acids are corrosive, but there are exceptions such as carboranes and boric acid.

There are three common definitions for acids: the Arrhenius definition, the Brønsted-Lowry definition, and the Lewis definition. The Arrhenius definition states that acids are substances which increase the concentration of hydronium ions (H3O+) in solution. The Brønsted-Lowry definition is an expansion: an acid is a substance which can act as a proton donor. Most acids encountered in everyday life are aqueous solutions, or can be dissolved in water, and these two definitions are most relevant. The reason why pHs of acids are less than 7 is that the concentration of hydronium ions is greater than 10−7 moles per liter. Since pH is defined as the negative logarithm of the concentration of hydronium ions, acids thus have pHs of less than 7. By the Brønsted-Lowry definition, any compound which can easily be deprotonated can be considered an acid. Examples include alcohols and amines which contain O-H or N-H fragments.

In chemistry, the Lewis definition of acidity is frequently encountered. Lewis acids are electron-pair acceptors. Examples of Lewis acids include all metal cations, and electron-deficient molecules such as boron trifluoride and aluminium trichloride. Hydronium ions are acids according to all three definitions. Interestingly, although alcohols and amines can be Brønsted-Lowry acids as mentioned above, they can also function as Lewis bases due to the lone pairs of electrons on their oxygen and nitrogen atoms.

There are rocking chairs made of rock, weighing thousands of pounds, but so delicately balanced that they move at the touch of a finger. Great crescents (Moon) top walls in the garden which rise to twenty feet in height; there is a 28.5 ton (HM 6 ) obelisk reaching for the sky. There is also a polaris telescope carved from coral rock, rising to twenty-five feet and weighing nearly thirty tons. There is a circular hole bored through it, near the top, within which are wires crossing at right angles. Several feet away is a lower stone with a similar hole and a similar “gun-sight”. By lining up the crossed wires in the lower stone with those in the obelisk, a direct sighting of the North Star is obtained.

Let us See what Maimonides had to say about these Talking Figures, in the twelfth century, in his Ethical Writings:
"The worshipers of the teraphim claimed that when the clarity of the stars
spread out on the statue,They saw as been in relations with the Celestial Intelligences that were using the object as an instrument. Thus the teraphim taught the Hebrew people a lot of useful art and science
                      the author's comment:
Note that the gold teraphim were consecrated [actually "Tuned" so as "terrestrial" subspace, ie to instantaneous propagation 36] especially in a star or a planet determined.
now you understand why some of maimonide's books disappeared and why Gold is found close to Spiritual Gold close to mountains and Large Water Bodies Principle of Correspondence

Now Israel's national library, an unlikely owner of a vast trove of Newton's writings, has digitized his theological collection -- some 7,500 pages (for fun HM 3) in Newton's own handwriting --...

With a word she can get what she came for
Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to heaven

There's a sign on the wall but she wants to be sure
'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings
In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven
                            Ooh, it makes me wonder
                            Ooh, it makes me wonder

There's a feeling I get when I look to the west
And my spirit is crying for leaving
In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees
And the voices of those who stand looking
                            Ooh, it makes me wonder
Ooh, it really makes me wonder

And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune
Then the piper will lead us to reason
And a new day will dawn for those who stand long
And the forests will echo with laughter

If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now
It's just a spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on

                            And it makes me wonder

Your head is humming and it won't go, in case you don't know
The piper's calling you to join him
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow and did you know
Your stairway lies on the whispering wind?

And as we wind on down the road
Our shadows taller than our soul
There walks a lady we all know
Who shines white light and wants to show
How everything still turns to gold

And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all, yeah
To be a rock and not to roll

And she's buying a stairway to heaven

Nicolas Poussin - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nicolas Poussin (pronounced: [ni.kɔ.lɑ pu.sɛ̃]; 15 June 1594 – 19 November 1665) was a French painter in the classical style. His work predominantly features clarity, logic, and order, and favors line over color. His work serves as an alternative to the dominant Baroque style of the 17th century. Until the 20th century he remained the major inspiration for such classically oriented artists as Jacques-Louis David, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres and Paul Cézanne.

He spent most of his working life in Rome, except for a short period when Cardinal Richelieu ordered him back to France to serve as First Painter to the King.

Et in Arcadia ego - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Et in Arcadia ego" is a Latin phrase that most famously appears as the title of two paintings by Nicolas Poussin (1594–1665). They are pastoral paintings depicting idealized shepherds from classical antiquity, clustering around an austere tomb. The more famous second version of the subject, measuring 87 by 120 centimetres (34.25 x 47.24 in), is in the Louvre, Paris, and also goes under the name "Les bergers d'Arcadie" ("The Arcadian Shepherds").
The literal word-for-word translation of the phrase is "Even in Arcadia I (am there)," "I" being death, and "Arcadia" being understood as a utopian land. It is usually interpreted as a memento mori. In Greece, during Antiquity, Greeks lived in cities close to the sea, and led an urban life. Only Arcadians, in the middle of Peloponnese, lacked cities, were far from the sea, and led a shepherd life. For urban Greeks, especially during the Hellenistic era, Arcadia symbolized pure, rural, idyllic life, far from the city.
Poussin's own first version of the painting (now in Chatsworth House) was probably commissioned as a reworking of Guercino's version. It is in a far more Baroque style than the later version, characteristic of Poussin's early work. In the Chatsworth painting the shepherds are actively discovering the half-hidden and overgrown tomb, and are reading the inscription with curious expressions. The shepherdess, standing at the left, is posed in sexually suggestive fashion, very different from her austere counterpart in the later version. The later version has a far more geometric composition and the figures are much more contemplative. The mask-like face of the shepherdess conforms to the conventions of the Classical "Greek profile"

Poussin was thirty when he arrived in Rome. At first he lodged with Simon Vouet.[4] Through Marino, he had been introduced to Marcello Sacchetti who in turn introduced him to another of his early patrons, Cardinal Francesco Barberini. Financial difficulties arose with the departure to Spain of Barberini, accompanied by Cassiano dal Pozzo, the antiquarian and the Cardinal's secretary, who later would become a great friend and patron. However, their return from Spain in 1626 stabilized Poussin’s position, with renewed patronage by the Barberini and their circle
