Scientists Reconstruct Brains' Visions Into Digital Video In Historic Experiment

UC Berkeley scientists have developed a system to capture visual activity in human brains and reconstruct it as digital video clips. Eventually, this process will allow you to record and reconstruct your own dreams on a computer screen.
this is quite amazing as it will allow more than just capture your dreams but also other type of Dreams

What ayahuasca does is quite difficult to describe ( not anymore ) without getting spiritual. It raises one’s sensitivity to light to include light beyond the visible spectrum, thus allowing people who ingest ayahuasca to see more of reality than they usually can. They can also hear more of reality and feel more of reality. Thus, they can exist in an expanded dimension of reality. Their dreams can also become a part of this reality, although they need not fall asleep to have these dreams, and because they are conscious during this experience, they are able to control themselves in these unusual, interdimensional states.

      • Algorithm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm i/ˈćlɡərɪđəm/ (originating from al-Khwārizmī, the famous Persian mathematician Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī) is a step-by-step procedure for calculations. Algorithms are used for calculation, data processing, and automated reasoning.

        ----------------------

        http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muhamma...257;rizmī

Abū ʿAbdallāh Muḥammad ibn Mūsā al-Khwārizmī note 1] (Arabic: عَبْدَالله مُحَمَّد بِن مُوسَى اَلْخْوَارِزْمِي‎), earlier transliterated as Algoritmi or Algaurizin, (c. 780, Khwārizm[2][4][5] – c. 850) was a Persian[1][2][3] mathematician, astronomer and geographer, a scholar in the House of Wisdom in Baghdad. The word al-Khwarizmi is pronounced in classical Arabic as Al-Khwarithmi hence the Latin transliteration.
In the twelfth century, Latin translations of his work on the Indian numerals introduced the decimal positional number system to the Western world.[5] His Compendious Book on Calculation by Completion and Balancing presented the first systematic solution of linear and quadratic equations in Arabic. In Renaissance Europe, he was considered the original inventor of algebra, although we now know that his work is based on older Indian or Greek sources.[6] He revised Ptolemy's Geography and wrote on astronomy and astrology.

Some words reflect the importance of al-Khwarizmi's contributions to mathematics. "Algebra" is derived from al-jabr, one of the two operations he used to solve quadratic equations. Algorism and algorithm stem from Algoritmi, the Latin form of his name.[7] His name is also the origin of (Spanish) guarismo[8] and of (Portuguese) algarismo, both meaning digit.

          Interesting thread MrM,
Let's not forget that Neptune symbolises the primeval waters of creation. In it's negative aspect the Neptunian state can be seen as a twighlight zone, confusing, ego driven, addictive, schizophrenic etc. It's positive (expansive) side is to go beyond the material, to transcend oneself and experience the intermediate areas of the psychic realm, (hence all that daydreaming ). The ultimate manifestation of the positive being the realisation of the connections all our bodily systems have to the universe (fractal) and reach/experience the dynamics of the inner sun.

I believe that Shamans as children can be very anxious individuals, may be they experience of Neptune is overwhelming at this stage in their lives?

Clans of the Alphane Moon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Clans of the Alphane Moon is a 1964 science fiction novel by Philip K. Dick. It is based on his 1954 short story Shell Game, first published in Galaxy Science Fiction magazine.
            The Clans

On Alpha III M2, psychiatric diagnostic groups have differentiated themselves into caste-like pseudo-ethnicities. The inhabitants have formed seven clans:

The Pares are people suffering from paranoia. They function as the statesman class. The Pare representative to the supreme council is Gabriel Baines, and their settlement is called Adolfville (named after Adolf Hitler). It is located within the northern sector of Alpha III M2, and is heavily fortified. This is where the supreme council building is, a stone, six-story-high building, the largest one in Adolfville.

            The Manses
are suffering from mania. They are the most active class, the warrior class. The Mans representative is Howard Straw. The Mans settlement is Da Vinci Heights. It is characterized as diverse but disordered, without aesthetic unity, "a hodgepodge of incomplete projects, started out but never finished." Also, this is where Alpha III M2's television transmitter is. There is supposed to be tension between them and the Pares, with the Manses constantly trying to stage a coup d'état.

The Skitzes are the ones suffering from schizophrenia. They correspond to the poet class, with some of them being religious visionaries. The Skitz delegate to the bi-annual get-together at Adolfville is Omar Diamond. The Skitz town is named Joan d’Arc, "poor materially, but rich in eternal values."

The Heebs consist of people suffering from hebephrenia (disorganized schizophrenia). Their settlement is Gandhitown. To the other clans, they are useful only for manual labour. Their representative is Jacob Simion. Gandhitown looks like "an inhabited garbage dump of cardboard dwellings." Like the Skitzes, some of the Heebs are religious visionaries as well; but they are inclined to produce ascetic saints, whereas the schizophrenics produce dogmatists. An example is "the famous Heeb saint, Ignatz Ledebur, who radiated spirituality as he wandered from town to town, spreading the warmth of his harmless Heeb personality." Another notable Heeb character is Sarah Apostoles; she together with Omar Diamond and Ignatz Ledebur form "the so-called Holy Triumvirate."

The Polys suffer from polymorphic schizophrenia. Annette Golding is the Poly delegate to the supreme council and their settlement is called Hamlet Hamlet. They are the creative members of society, producing new ideas. The children from every clan on Alpha III M2 were born Polys, went to their common, central school as Polys, did not become differentiated until perhaps their tenth or eleventh year. Some never became differentiated, though, hinting that, perhaps, some of them do not actually have mental disorders at all.

The Ob-Coms are the ones with obsessive-compulsive disorder, their delegate is Ingred Hibbler. The name of their location is not given. They are the clerks and office holders of the society, the ritualistic functionaries, with no original ideas. Their conservatism balances the radical quality of the Polys and gives the society stability.

The Deps are suffering from clinical depression. Their representative to the supreme council is Dino Watters and the name of their town is Cotton Mather Estates, where they live "in endless dark gloom.”

The context created by Philip K Dick sounds like a fascist controlled state, where the minds have been split in order to divide and conquer the tasks...?

The schizophrenia of society is such today, that we are being drawn into this kind of dogma described. We [society] are detached from our essence and turning inward out of the wrong kind of desperate attempt to ease themselves. The material signifiers around us are dislocated from a context of proper meaning and subverted by certain groups to exercise an element of mind control. Yet, for others this 'schizophrenic' state can lead to enlightenment. I have not read the text...

                • The Eye of the Sibyl - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Eye of The Sibyl is a science fiction short story by Philip K. Dick. It was written sometime around 1975, but not published until 1987 when it was included in volume 5 (subtitled "The Little Black Box") of The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick, and has been reprinted since in other editions of this book such as the U.S. edition The Eye of the Sibyl and Other Stories .

This is said to have been Dick's first piece of fiction for publication after his "2-3-74" experience that was the basis for his Exegesis, and later the novels VALIS, the posthumously published precursor to VALIS, Radio Free Albemuth, and The Divine Invasion. Eventually rejected by the venue for which it was written, the major points of Dick's 1975 worldview are set forth, in a style reminiscent of his earlier work, and very similar to his treatment of this material in his later books.

                    • did you ever ask yourselves the origins of the word Library :

you know that place that holds books of knowledge ( real or virtual )

                      library - Wiktionary

                      Etymology

Middle English librarie, from Anglo-Norman librarie, from Old French librairie, from Latin librarium (“bookcase, chest for books”), from librarius (“concerning books”), from liber (“the inner bark of trees", "paper", "parchment", "book”), probably derived from a Proto-Indo-European base * (leub(h), “to strip", "to peel”). Displaced native Middle English bochus, bochous (“library, bookhouse”) (from Old English bōchūs (“library, bookhouse”)).
" liber" that sounds familiar :

                        Plot summary

The protagonists of the story are a government agent and his fiancée who are members of a government agency tasked with tracking down and sterilizing or eliminating mutants- individuals with physical abnormalities and superhuman powers (such as the ability to steal the appearance and memories of others) that make them a threat to normal humans. The eponymous "Golden Man" is a feral young man named Cris ( short for Christ ) with gold-colored skin, who does not appear to be sapient but possesses the ability to see into the future (specifically, the ability to see all possible outcomes from any single action, described in the story as similar to a chess player with the ability to see all possible moves 5 steps ahead). The agency manages to capture Cris, but does not execute him immediately, due to their wish to study his ability. Unknown to the agency, Cris turns out to possess another power; his golden skin acts like a lion's mane and allows him to seduce members of the opposite sex. Cris influences the fiancée into freeing him, then impregnates her and makes his escape. The story ends with the protagonist reflecting on how animal instincts have triumphed over human intellect ( the seed of its destruction / enslavement is already within animal instinct ), and how that is the new direction evolution will take if Cris succeeds in replacing humanity.

                        • Sibyl

Interesting synchronisity MrM, I have been reading about the symbolism of the Sibyl- my concise findings are:
The Sibyl was a pythoness seer/spiritual regulator/shaman. As a baby she was left in the temple of Apollo and was later found with serpents all around her. She was thus, after this experience empowered as a prophetess. There are also said to be 12 Sibyls- possibly part of the triple aspect concept of goddesshead in pagan Europe; the number may also relate to the idea of the 12 apostles in Christianity. Again, we are finding the serpentine energetics present in the symbolism and the relationship with creating/accessing other realities. The Sibyl was able to raise the souls of the dead.

                            • Crop Circle at Bishop Cannings Down, Nr Beckhampton, Wiltshire. Reported 24th July 2012.

                              Self Examination of Foundation

July 24th, 2012 is the day of 10 Tzi. It is an earth day in the earth quadrant. It is the 20th day of the 20 days, the # 20 Hexagram of the I-Ching, and the 20th Image of the major arcana of the Rider-Waite tarot. Every natural process has a beginning and a result, time and the flow of vibration is no different. Tzi is the product or result, it is the peeping through the hole, or the penetrating force of the howl of a lone wolf from on top of a sacred mountain on a full moon.
The formation is properly depicted as the physical symbol of earth. Within the top square are 20 points interconnected to illustrate the completion of the 20 days in the physical realm. The circle in the center is the hole which peeps through into the next realm. The particular progression of the lines indicates a certain relationship between the days and the four elements. It is a measurement and a squaring which justifies the corners. As a builder, this technique of rectifying the corners would result in a very square and true foundation. This stacked square depiction has appeared previously in a formation also located at Bishop Canning from June 27th, 2000.

If the same progression is done in a circular format with the 20 days it looks like this.. (pardon the lack of precision) Tzi is the day with a white hole in the center.
The progression of the formations leading to this one all seem to have a common theme of measuring and squaring position. It starts with a triangle to triangulate the center, then one can draw a circle and place a square within. Lastly, one would check the corners and slowly adjust until the square is correctly placed and measured. A basic rule of carpentry is the 3,4,5 rule. One measures from the location of the corner, 3 on one side, and 4 on the other side, the diagonal length between those two points should be 5 if the corner is square. This formation shows an advanced and very thorough technique.

Once this technique is applied to various works of sacred knowledge and a careful examination of actual history is done, the result will be the “Canning of the Bishops”. Tzi is a good day for justice and this has meaning both spiritually and physically. Following the progression outlined in the formation, the path from Tzi would be as follows,...

Tzi,..earth day, earth quadrant, Ajmaq, water day water quadrant, Iq earth day fire quadrant, and Qanil water day earth quadrant.

Translated this series of days would be Guardian of the Mountain, Peace with Creator and Ancestors, Creator above, connection with ancestors, and Qanil is the Seed and a cornerstone.

The cycle of life begins where it ends, The progression shows the necessary ingredients for life. It starts with earth, then water, then a little warmth, and a seed.

The product of time is a sovereign individual entity, who lacks fear and is willing and able, to Guard the mountain. A soul examines itself at death by peeping through the door. Finish or do-over is the question. This formation correlates very distinctly with the events and formation of 8 Qanil in Holland.

The inception of incarnation is the day of Batz, and the next formation on July 25th, shows it. Coming back through the hole.
Signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws.” -Confucius.

Your mother was right: Pop music has become louder and less original over the years.
At least, this is the conclusion of a computer analysis of nearly half-a-million songs recorded between 1955 and 2010 and reported in Nature Scientific Reports Thursday.

Controlling monkey brains and behavior with light

Researchers reporting online on July 26 in Current Biology have for the first time shown that they can control the behavior of monkeys by using pulses of blue light to very specifically activate particular brain cells. The findings represent a key advance for optogenetics, a state-of-the-art method for making causal connections between brain activity and behavior ( the sun does it already ). Based on the discovery, the researchers say that similar light-based mind control could likely also be made to work in humans for therapeutic ends.
In the new study, the researchers focused on neurons that control particular eye movements. Using optogenetics together with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), they showed that they could use light to activate these neurons, generating brain activity and subtle changes in eye-movement behavior.

Aesop's Fable unlocks how we think

Lucy Cheke, a PhD student at the University of Cambridge's Department of Experimental Psychology expanded Aesop's fable into three tasks of varying complexity and compared the performance of Eurasian Jays with local school children.

The task that set the children apart from the Jays involved a mechanism which was counter-intuitive as it was hidden under an opaque surface. Neither the birds nor the children were able to learn how the mechanism worked, but the children were able to learn how to get the reward, whereas the birds were not.

The results of the study illustrate that children learn about cause and effect in the physical world in a different way to birds. While the Jay's appear to take account of the mechanism involved in the task, the children are more driven by simple cause-effect relationships.

Lucy Cheke said, "This makes sense because it is children's job to learn about new cause and effect relationships without being limited by ideas of what is or is not possible. The children were able to learn what to do to get the reward even if the chain-of-events was apparently impossible. Essentially, they were able to ignore the fact that it shouldn't be happening to concentrate on the fact that it was happening. The birds however, found it much harder to learn what was happening because they were put off by the fact that it shouldn't be happening."

The tasks were a variation of Aesop's fable that consisted of using a tube of water containing an out-of-reach prize. The subjects were required to use objects to displace the water so that the prize could be reached.
