The Feh-rune and the similarity to fourlegged Shin has woken some questions. One thing about it is regarding Feh. The word 'Futhark' has the same meaning as the word alphabeth, derived from Alpha, Beta, etc. F in Futhark is Feh.

But Feh represents domesticised cattle. It is the civilised completion of the universe. The next rune, 'u' or Ur, is the cow/goat that fed Ymer/Jupiter, the first, wild creature to be created. Then come 'th' or Thurs, the offspring of Ymer/Jupiter, the giants. Then Ass, the spirit that unites Ur and Thurs to create and overcome those two opposing forces. And so on.

The Feh-rune are the outcome of the creation and the 24 steps on the creational path. It belongs last in line, not first. But it is true that it is a circle, after Feh comes again Ur. Just like you may travel from Nifelheim, the ice world at the bottom of the tree, straight to Muspellheim, the world of fire at the top, without passing through the center parts, where our world is.

Some people work with a blank rune as well.
