ONE Sticky With ALL Current Links Please...

Yeah Aaron, your not a fan of me, or my ideas and opinions about stuff,
but this one serves the greater good, so please consider this if possible.

Couldn't a simple SINGLE sticky exist at the top of every single page on this forum
that contains the current popular items of interest instead please ?

Look at it this way, EVERY single page of posts has ELEVEN sticky's
and the default page holds how many for those that don't increase that ?

I have mine set to the max, and I counted forty one entries

That means that I only get thirty threads per page,
because eleven of them are repeated ON EVERY PAGE...

how is this sensible please ?



Sticky's are great, I like them, and they should be on the first page,
but the people that make forum software aren't getting the news
that they don't belong on page two through infinity yet it seems.

Can you help us all out and research a solution to this please ?

I see no reason why a single "Sticky" link,
that is currently used to open to a thread,
couldn't lead to a locked thread maintained
by people authorized to edit it perhaps ?

It could maintain a single post with (just) the links,
or a new and more progressive outlook (of updates) perhaps,
be inventive, but loose the eleven friggin anchors please, OK ?



It just seems like the (Energetic) world has been reduced to the latest thirty entries,
I have always maintained it should be an even one hundred anyway for everyone,
and an option (WAP Switch) for users on dial up to be respective to all conributing/viiewing.

Currently, any idiot can post a non-contributary statement in the top thirty,
and sink one topic that threatens to be a real topic to those that oppose it.

Think about that, and review past posting tactics,
I for one see a pattern on this issue on this forum.

(This, as example, will be where I will be challanged on this point
when it is so obvious that posts were made to sink topics of value...)



Oh, and I spell like crap since a huge brain injury,
sorry for that, I re-edit these a thousand times
trying to at least be acceptable to people in general,
because even though I may be comprimised myself,
I hate horrible translation and illiterate entries too,
so correcting my spelling is not only welcome, it helps.



Am I alone in finding this aggrevating people, just let me know,
does this huge forum software oversite issue (Page 2+) issue bug you too ?

I Swear I'm trying to promte / recussively-iimplement a better idea here.

Do those with VBulletin software experience know of a script to cancel "Sticky's" in FireFox perhaps, I mean has this already been addressed and I'm late to the party please ?

Post page-1 = NO !

Your all OK with the concept (of) loosing
a huge top section of EVERY PAGE to stickies ?!

It doesn't have to be this way,
but you have to voice your choice to change it !

I don't mind the stickies. I mean, it sounds like all you are asking for is a sub forum that has no stickies...?

The 'hot' subjects naturally float to the top.

A 'popular' list would be impossible to properly maintain.

If you want to see the subjects with the most views or replies just click the appropriate "title" and the forum will automatically sort them for you.

Just my opinion
