The Flying-Supply for the Flying Duchman [21st ct. battery pirates]
Its now time to introduce You with another concept, enter
The flying power supply
1. We all know JT type of circuit.
2. And the advent of switch-mode BJT with low Vce(sat) like the D44H11 is (and D880)
And the 2N2222 is not but it could go here
3. And we know of the special "crowbar" safety that can be achieved with 10V10W string of Zener diodes. I intend to use 5 (fiive) of them
4. And we all should be able to produce a 0.5mH transformer (xfmr) with three (or four) 0.4mm windings? Could anyone step forth with wrap numbers?
5. two capacitors of 100 ... 470uF 35...50V rating
We intend to produce a 20V floating end supply for a flying load.
Next time in "21.st century battery pirates":
A. THE schematic
B. How it works
C. HOWTO build
Stay tuned until next time in "21.st century battery pirates"...
