Americium Battery

Has anyone tried to make one of these? You can find americium in smoke
detectors.

How much voltage is coming from the little reactor in a smoke detector?

Just some thoughts I had after reading the thorium threads. I doubt we could
get thorium to play with, but americium is easy to get.
