Funny story....Small world

So last night, I was hanging out a friend whom GiantKiller and I know. We like to play pool (the engineers game, lol), drink a few beers and hangout in the great Colorado outdoors.

My other buddy mike, blurts out "hey did you know Andrew and so and so are energy researchers??? You should talk to them about your motor"

The guy proceeds to tell me that he and his father have over the years built multiple prototypes of a resonant magnetic motor which puts out over 80 horsepower, self contained, and self running, at about 140 percent efficient.

He proceeds to show me that he can run every light in his house with the device. He has patents granted, through clever claims (I do not know the numbers yet). He goes on to tell me how he has for 20 years tried to sell, market, etc the device with no luck, only sharks. He is very very frustrated, and pissed about the whole thing. He told me he just wants to "give the **** up and sell the damn thing for whatever".

Who knows what will become of this all, but it is an interesting and small world. I knew this guy for a while, and never once did either of us mention what we did in our spare time.

I'll say what though, I bet he plays a mean game of pool, with knowing all about force interactions, angles, careful setting up and velocities lol

With his state of mind being to throw the towel in, the obv seems to be suggesting open source. It's his machine, his baby, but, maybe there are further tunings to be made to raise that 140%, maybe he likes the thought of teaching...maybe he would just like to be thanked for showing us a real working machine in a sea of false hopes.

So, have you seen the device ?
Must say, it's a cool development no matter what, indicating probably loads of people out there with still functioning Lockridge devices or own designs of machines.

We play a mean game, ha ha ha. We always get beat by our other friend though who is an older man who survived the Cambodian genocide and moved to America 30 years ago, his "profession" was military sniper. Guess sniper beats engineer.

I have not seen the device in person, but am planing on getting my other foot in the door. I know the guy but he is very weary. I told him I would give him what info I have and want nothing in return on my research. I explained how many of us have been in the same boat with similar frustrations. I do not know what his intent will settle on, but time will tell.

I already have a few or the principles. It is a resonant motor, with both windings and stator tuned. I am not sure if there is a frequency difference between the two. He is using a core for the rotor which he said demagnetizes very easily I said "ferrite" and he said exactly.

Very very similar in my opinion to this British granted patent from Tesla.

Cool story! I've come across a number of such stories over the years when I mention something about energy. I've been surprised by the number of people who have a story to tell about something they've seen or someone they know.

Recently I was talking to a guy I know in an auto parts store about an FE motor. He told me about someone in the next town who had a motor that he was told would self run and power this guys shop once the motor was started. I was told the man who made it was not in good health any more but his son knew about it so I got his name and found his phone number. I have not yet contacted him but plan on it soon. In the meantime I was looking all over for a small boat to buy (some well over a hundred miles away). I ended up finding one only a quarter mile away. The boat title was still in the name of the person who is the son of the man with the self running motor I just mentioned! Synchronicities I just need to get the time to get hold of him soon ...

Since stories are being told...
The caretaker where I work told me that his grandfather had in the 1930s or 40s developed a carburetor that enabled his car to run with ridiculously high miles per gallon. He began to tell people in this rural town, until one evening two men from the "oil business" showed up at his door. He would not tell even his wife or children what the men had said. Suffice to say that the modded carby was taken off the engine that night and the whole incident was never discussed by him again.

I would hope that with enough people developing alternative technologies, there will be a kind of cascade effect, where the tide of such inventions can no longer be held back for "national security" or any other trumped up reasons. I can see why people would be wary of disclosing too much, but I also look forward to the day when there are just too many of these devices out there to put back into the box. About 1967, I was about 15, I was attending a boarding school near Gwelo, in Southern Rhodesia, before it became Zimbabwe. (Everyone knows about Zimbabwe) Anyway, I think my science teacher was driving the school bus, and he made a point of taking a small detour on a trip to town and pointed out a particular property. He said the owner was an inventor that was working on a "perpetual motion" machine. He then, naturally, told us that such were impossible, etc. Those are things I will never forget. I've always wondered if he had any success or perhaps had a few secrets....
