i've been getting more frequent 'database errors' on this site recently...i hope the admins have a good backup system.

      • @netica excellent work!! That motor workbench is exactly what I want to make for testing...

I just have uploaded the video of my motor running...

Ufo, is there another forum you are on if this one crashes, or will you join another one, you should think about that and let us know.

          Nice build netica.

          • Yes, today the experience has been sluggish with EnergeticForum. Very slow loads. Either a DOS (Denial Of Service) Attack or they are backing up.

Thanks for the heads up as a reminder to back up all of Ufopolitics threads so they are current.

PS - Kudos to Netica and Nicko8K for there recent builds!

Yes a Generator Head (If Brushless, better) would do much better. But again...You will have to find a Motor or two that have Four Stator-Four Brush systems...

I have tried to put together for you the Diagram...but it is too complicated and not too good of an idea to post it now, it will create confusion...So let's reset to page 1...above...4Stator 4 Brush Big Motor...would do rotate and generate on a Symmetrical Generator Head.

                Thanks again Ufopolitics,

I'm already checking local bike dealers trying to locate the...4 stator 4 brush motors ... I know I'll need to back up and read through previous postings to see links and videos of this mod.

Not disappointed, I did learn from this treadmill motor transforming into a great mod of ufo technology.

                thanks,

                  Hello Wantomake,

Of Course You should not be Disappointed...You already made a nice Asymmetric Machine...as you could also make another Treadmill Motor of same spec's to a Dedicated Asymmetric Generator...and run it with the one you already built...

Assembly will do same thing as it would with a Generator Head and bigger Machine...but in a lower scale...

                  So cheers man!!

                    Hi Nico,
                    nice work! I like it.
                    Just a hint:
The motor casings (iron) usually perform the outside magnetic closed circuit in order to make the field inside the motor stronger. Many standard motors have added another external iron tube in order to ease the field circuit.
You might try to add a similar iron tube around your transparent tube. The performance might be better.
@UFO: Do you confirm or refuse?

                      Hello John,

You know I have to confirm on that steel tubing, from Hot point of view...Hot Flux likes great heavy steel casings...but not Radiant, SHE loves open environments, air...space...and we all know by now My Machines have a great part of Radiant Field inside of them...however, another way is to add another set of magnets at exterior of glass tube, and rotate them around tube to get better-stronger Static Fields.

Mariuscivic after charging a big Cap with same small motor...did that here at time 4:30 on...altering-moving "Asymmetrically" the Stators increase RPM's much more...as also note He added this Neo's at outer part of Stator Magnets...And He also have an empty-no steel case

Also I believe Nico have to adjust the timing there a bit to obtain higher output...

                      Regards

This 12VDC motor is 3" long x 1.67" Diameter. It has a 4mm diameter x 0.35" long shaft and rotates at 3100 RPM when powered with 12VDC at 0.320A (no load). Has removable shield around body. High torque/heavy duty! Reg. $3.49 Limit 5. However they were not able to confirm that these motors are 5 pole. Well what the heck, I still bought 5. Possiblely they are 5 pole as suggested by you Mike. If they are 5 pole motors then they will be I think ideal candiates for the UFOPOLTIC'S 2nd Generation of ASYMMETIC 5 POLE MOTORS using Y copper wire wind. My first RS Motor was successful which I will present soon on this list. I thought this SALE INFO will be useful to members.

I ordered 5 of these and they just arrived. I did get a couple of the RS motors also, but didn't have all the right equipment to cut/solder/test. I'm slowly but surely gathering it all (we're in the middle of buying a house so finances are more limited than normal). Anyway, I thought I'd just post a picture in the difference in size of these bad boys compared to the RS motor.

                        Seem great for the price!

Let me share a bit of my experience with you:

Mark a line around the body of the motor where the air vents are ( closer to where the number 0 is on the sleeve ). The magnets are under where the sleeve is.
Using an angle grinder with a thin cutting disk or hack saw or Dremmel cut around your mark now you can take this one apart.

Do the same with the other motor.

Try to remove the magnets. If they are glued in, put the body on a gas flame of your cooker for a few minutes or until your wife complains. Hold the body with pliers and ease the magnets out. After that you can dunk the motor body under cold water.

Take the motor body with out magnet of course and cut the end off as close to the bottom bearing as you can.

Now you have 2 end bits ( brushes) and a cylindrical middle section.
You can make use of the outer sleeve of the motors and insert the prepared pieces in the middle. There will be a lot of sharp edges. you need to grind the edges.

I know someone else made a video about how to remove the commutator but don't do it that way!.
                          First remove all the windings.
I got a little socket from a socket set and placed the rotor on the top of the socket hole. This is to protect the laminations from damage. The commutator is at the top. The supporting socket is on a block of wood on the bottom. Firmly hit the shaft until the commutator is a few millimeters from the edge of the shaft. It should slide off easily.

Your next problem will be to ensure the shaft is long enough for what you are trying to build.

I ruined a couple of motors so I got very good at this!

Make sure you wear work gloves and goggles or at least glasses.
                          Good luck.

                            Wonza,

Are these 5 pole? I remember awhile back that was a question.

I like the size, looks a lot easier to work with and the price is right as well.

I've not opened it yet, but from looking through the vents it sure looks like a 5 pole.

MasterBlaster many thanks for a great explanation and advice, hopefully it'll save me time and pain. Do you have any pictures or videos? I did a quick search but couldn't find any.

                                Of course not,

There is too much to do to be disappointed about anything.

To late......I've already found generator head to test with. Next trying to locate bigger motor to modify and use with it.
