So is it real. I have a friend that has invested with the company rather hastily.

There was discussion about them here or on overunity.com and as I recall it wasn't too good. I was left with the impression it's a lot of hype. No one should hastily invest in energy. While some are certainly promising and real it's an area that is ripe for scams.
