  • Happy new year!

Good to see that things are moving along. Looking forward to seeing your progress Paul and Charlie. Sorry that i have not been able to get my replication going, but I had some unexpected financial difficulties. I will not give up on this project, even though i am discouraged by the lack of Mikhail's input on it. I can understand the difficulties of just getting by, let alone building these types of devices.(My garage has no heat also). Numb fingers do not help the process, and my girlfriend doesn't like me building things in the house.
Wether or not Mikhails device works, I like the fact that paul has gotten something going with help from others--maybe that is the key to getting this done. I think we all want the same thing- a better world.
Otherwise why would we devote so much time to this seemingly fruitless venture?
Sorry to sound pessimistic, But i have had a cocktail or two( maybe 3) and i am just lamenting. It is new year's eve after all.
Anyway, The best wishes to all and hopefully together we can find a way to acheive our goals.
    Greg

    • Hi Greg,

Please don't be discouraged. I can relate to what you have written regarding time and resources, but I think we have considerable reason to be optimistic with this design. Both Paul and myself have seen first hand that this will work as Mikhail has said and there is more than one way to achieve that result.

I have some parts on order that unfortunately have long delivery times but I'm hopeful that I can show my new 'twin engine' video sometime in mid January. I think you'll like it and its something I'm sure you can easily replicate for small money.

So please stay positive my friend!

      Best regards,
      Charlie

      • Just ramblin'

I tried to make a rule not to commit pwi"s (posting while intoxicated), but I am having fun doing it today. I am not really discouraged, and I think that this year we will all make progress.
Good luck and i am turning the computer off before i get in trouble!

        • HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013

Just a few rough shots for now.

I can actually pick the whole thing up with one of the 4mm diameter grade 5 titanium shafts

          Al it doens't flex

          Talk about strength!!!

I have gone for stainless steel fixings because I live near the sea. Good for when I get kicked out of the kitchen into the garage.

I have some experiments lined up to show you all, I just need these shaft collars or it will not be a fair test.

Looking forward to cutting different lengths of stainless steel studding to extend the elements, so we can study changes in rotation and torque.

          Warmest Regards,

          Paul

            Paul
            The fun can begin!!

I myself have been building a shop the last two months, Busy as a one legged man in a but kicking contest......

Can not wait to get back to building the fun stuff......
Happy New year Guys and Gals !

            • Do we have a working replication?

              Comment

              • Hi, that depends what you class as a working validation.

                purelyprimitives channel - YouTube

Charlie (purelyprimatives) has built what he considers to excibit a strange phenomena.

"This is a fairly incredible phenomena. Doubling the weight results in almost no incremental increase in current draw from the motor!! I believe that this validates his claim of overunity."

We are muddling along trying to find the best way to show everyone following the thread all the different ways Mikhail's combination of inertia, centrifugal force and gravity will produce torque amplification.

At the same time, just getting a feel for what this combination provides and why in order to optimise it.

I'm interested to hear you opinion on the technology.

                Happy New Year!

                Paul

                    Hi Charlie, New Year greetings!

                    Prototype 6:

Mikhail has picked another name which I won't disclose just yet as I haven't bought the domain.

It does sound more like a brand name than the old website gravitationalengine.com which does what it says on the tin.

I have to respect Mikhail's wishes though.

"Revolution" has always been the name for the the device to me.

I can't always communicate my feelings with Mikhail as my Russian isn't up to scratch.

I don't want to upset him with something lost in translation, although I doubt I would.

Looking forward to your next prototype Charlie!

                    Happy New Year 2013 everyone!

Just to let everyone know that I made the mistake of ordering new SPDT switches from Amazon only to find out that they apparently have a 2 to 3 week delivery time. Coming from China I assume and will get bogged down in customs.

At any rate, I have everything else to complete it and I'm mostly done with the basic construction. Only thing left, is to mount the motors and wire everything up. And for those who may not be aware, I've increased the diameter of the rotor from 4' to 6'. My plan is to have 5 lbs. of dynamic weight (swinging) and 10 lbs. of static weight at each end just for added mass.

I also want to hook up the alternator for the output but I'll have to wait until I get it running to see what rpm's I can get out of it and then create the appropriate gearing to drive it.

If all goes well I expect I should have something to show mid to late January.

                      Happy 2013!

                        Update 6th January 2013

                        Just a quickie.

I have finally received the stainless steel studding needed to extend the elements.

I have also received the shaft collars.

Unfortunately they didn't fit, but I have found out I can rub the inside down a bit and then they do.

Everything has been taken apart so I can photograph all the parts and produce my first proper video.

The shaft collars look like they will do the job removing the need to upgrade the one way bearings to more stable ones.

My graphic design partner has produced a logo for the new website.

We are both working on the new website.

                        Thats all for now folks.

                        Best regards,

                        Paul

                        • Update 15th January 2013

As of yesterday GravInert Research Trust has begun.

                          www.gravinert.com is on the way.

Mikhail explains that inertia is doing most of the work, gravity and centrifugal force assists. A torque amplifier

Still tidying up the photos and videos but they will come ASAP.

                          Best regards,

                          Paul

                          • I'm watching this for moths waiting for someone to replicate and confirm everything.

I'm not an engineer of any kind, nor a physicist or anything similar to this but i have high expectations out of this. Something tells me that works but the most amazing thing about this is that is quite simple to build.

The bearings are a bit tricky, not very easy to find where i live and seems they are not very popular right now. But this will change most likely in time.

It would be nice if someone with the brains and tools found a way around that so this could be built from scraps in....worst case scenario (war, big natural disaster etc.) from common leftovers.

Also if you need a bit of assistance with the website and want a forum/community portal [need paid domain (10$/year) and hosting(5-10$/month) - free does not work so good] i might be able to help out, for free.

                            Good luck 2u all!

                            • Hi, I've been involved since Feb 2011, so nearly two years.

Mikhail dissapeared for a little over a year of that and went from prototype 10 to 11.

Replicator 1 has had to pack everything away as his space was needed for living.

He stated that he still believes Mikhail's device works if it is built to spec.

It is quite simple to build from a kit.

We are ironing out any bugs slowly.

The bearings are easily available online, although with some designs not necessary.

I think Gdez showed a good way to make a one way bearing effect with scraps. Implementing it into a device is not as easy.

There needs to be an amount of precision so building from scraps is not so easy.

Thank you for the offer of assistance, it has been noted.

I have a server and domain sorted already, I just haven't done the DNS transfer yet as the forum & website are being nurtured.

Forum is free with adverts & not free to remove the adverts.

                              I will remove them ASAP.

So many things to do but getting there slowly.

                              All the best,

                              Paul

Welcome! Like you, I find that of all of the so-called 'gravity wheels' that I've seen and built, this one seems to have the most promise so far.

The bearings are a bit tricky, not very easy to find where i live and seems they are not very popular right now. But this will change most likely in time.

I don't know if you've seen my videos but I don't use the one-way bearings and am purposely trying to create an alternative design using relatively common materials. Mikhail has said that there could be other ways of achieving the same result and he is correct as long as you apply the basics of his design.

                                Best regards,
                                Charlie
