Thanks Matt, I had done that and a whole profile page comes up.

I had missed the tiny 'send message'

          Mechanical Amplifier

          Aaron or Peter,

Do either of you know what Jim is doing now or have any contact with him?

His website shows he is in Texas. I too am in TX and would love to see some of his machines.

          Many thanks, Brent

            Hi Brent,

The link got goofed - here is the right one:
Jim Murray - A Lifetime of Exploration & Discovery

I don't know Jim myself. Peter will be away for a bit bit you'll probably get a faster response if you post your question here: Jim Murray's Mechanical Amplifier

Thanks for posting Jim Murray's homepage, didn't know he had one.

              Thanks for your response...

I will post something in the other forum.

              Also, fixed link.

                      Salve Distinguished Gentelmen,

Sorry if I'm pushing an open door or even stating the obvious.

In this very thread, we are talking about "Mechanical Devices with Energy gain". R we not?

About Fernando Sixto Ramos Solano's Force Multiplier (FSRS_FM), there are some replications on YouTube. One replication is here: "FSRS Rep1"
                      FSRS Rep1 - YouTube
Accurate and working replication? I dunno...

Anyway, one of the (few) comment is saying: "Es un convertidor de torque O momento angular, el sistema con pendulo es practicamente igual al sistema inventado por George Constantinesco en los? años 1920."

A slightly modified Google translation could be:
"It's a torque or angular momentum converter, the pendulum system is practically equal to the system invented by George Constantinesco in the 1920s. "

So, who were "George Constantinesco"? This might be a clue. Google is (often) your friend:
                      "George CONSTANTINESCO - Inertial Transmission"
George Constantinesco: Inertial Transmission (US Patent 1591471 etc)
On this page you can see some pictures of a "Mecccano model" torque converter.

                      Meccano?
Meccano - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
                      Meccano - Wikipédia (more pictures)

More informations please. OK! What about:

                      (page 90 of the file).

Please note that this article is only talking about "Torque Converter" and *not* about NRG gain.

But I can read: "One of the great avantages of such invention is that vehicles will require engines of only about half the size of the engines used to-day." So?

                      Very Best,
                      Jean

                        @NerzhDishual
This may look simple but there are some important lessons to be learned here about efficiency. I have built similar devices and there is a few attributes which set these machines apart from the ones we use.

Imagine that we are in a gas or electric car and we are stationary and about to pull a load what happens? Well we push the accelerator to the floor but almost nothing happens, we are using the maximum amount of energy but we are not really going anywhere, lol. At this point someone of intelligence should have taken one step back and considered what was actually happening because what we do is the poorest way of doing things. In fact almost all of the energy is being completely wasted and does nothing more than generate heat.

Now I have built devices which can pull almost any load and generates almost no heat and it has no gears and it can accelerate an large load with an electric motor simple idling away at near minimum power. How is this possible?, it's simple we should never try to accelerate a load using friction devices such as clutches and gears we should use the changing inertia of one object(the device) to act against the stationary inertia of another (the load).

The process is simple, attach an eccentric mass ( a weighted arm) onto the shaft of an electric motor. Attach this motor to a cart with one way bearings or a sprague clutch so the wheels can only rotate in one direction. Now when the mass rotates it produces a force both forward then backwards but the wheels can only rotate forward so that is the direction it moves. Now if we attach a load to the cart two things can happen, one the cart moves forward and the rotating mass experiences a change in inertia and the motor does an equivalent amount of work or two the cart does not move and there is no change in the inertia of the rotating mass thus the motor does no work.

Now what is the difference between this and the systems we use?, well it generates almost no heat under any load so almost no energy is wasted. As well we are not trying to move an object with friction like some primate running about in the jungle, we are using logic and intelligence to actually solve the fundamental problem. We should keep in mind that this cart/eccentric mass is a simple example of how the concept works.

Rule #1: If we want to change the velocity of an object (a load) then we must change it's interia (Mass-Velocity). The most efficient way to change the inertia of the load is to use another objects inertia against it. We transfer inertia from the eccentric mass(Mass-Velocity) to the load(Mass-Velocity) cyclically. No free energy here but energy is near perfectly conserved, almost all of the input energy must always perform an equivalent amount of work as a change in velocity of the load.

Imagine that, the year is 2012 and most of our engineers are hardly better than those primates I mentioned running about in the jungle. It is a poor state of affairs and does not reflect well on our future.

                          Fernando`s Force multiplier

Also in that list I put forward the names of Felix Wurth and George Constantinesco. He was a brilliant inventor with 130 patents, from concrete bridges to a first world war hydraulic machine gun interrupter for fighter planes which replaced mechanical geared devices and was in use up to the second world war. His 'torque converter' was in use for automobiles, boats and trains. Much of the information on George is long gone from the internet, Rexresearch has the best surviving information...if you read all of it, (fig 16 for example)

The device has nothing to do with Mechano sets and was simply built in Mechano to demonstrate the simplicity of the device. Many Canadian and English boys learned building and engineering skills playing with Mechano. Possibly the modern day equivalent would be Lego.

Stealth will possibly like George's converter as it changes rotary to reciprocal and outputted on two one way clutches

                          Best regards

                            Hello iron
Thank you for those link's, it's funny that after I had built several devices I started researching this subject and found the George Constantinesco articles at Rexresearch. As it turns out my machines were very similar to the Constantinesco torque converter which would lead me to believe that a good idea is universal.

The one thing many people tend to overlook here is that the energy transfer originates and terminates in the form of a field .... an inertial field. As you may know a field has no friction persay and this is the reason why the efficiency can be extremely high. As well the closer we look the more questions we have because I do not see how a person can examine these systems without considering inertia. At which point we are left with many questions because science may tell us how inertia acts but as usual they cannot tell us what it "is" fundamentally.
You will find libraries full of books describing how magnetic, electric, gravic and inertial fields act but none telling us what they are fundamentally. It should also be noted that the most credible people having the most knowledge on this subject tell us they do not know while the textbook junkies would have us believe all is known.

In any case I find these devices fascinating as well as the property of inertia which I believe deserves a closer look.
