Hi Slider,
The Peter Davey bells were quite significant to me, because they led to the Savic sonic boiler, which is when I discovered AC electrode boilers. It did not take me long to realise that the infrastructure I designed for DC hybrid turbines was suitable for AC without modification. This actually solved some very difficult problems I was having with the original SEC design, which was completely redesigned as a result.
The integration of a dump valve onto an AC electrode boiler is something I was thinking about as a logical next step in development as a self governed steam injector for a turbine.
The main application I intend for it is based around a system I am developing for the 3rd World, the basic premise is light a fire to create a static steam head of pressure, desalinating the salt and impurities, which can then run a Pulsometer for land irrigation. Eventually I am aiming to run a steam turbine with the salt free water, which when condensed at the exhaust will provide drinking water as well as electricity from the PMA. So basically it is a low tech system requiring only an open fire to grow food, heat, provide electricity and drinking water. The use of seawater instead of drinking water from the underground aquifers solves the problem farmers are experiencing with a falling water table in places such as India.
The difficulty for me is in the "off the shelf" parts for the Everyman principle, a custom designed system is easy, just needs lot's of money. But hey, I like a challenge!
The AC electrode dump valve gives me easy on/off control of the heat source for prototyping and kills two birds with one stone for the Davey/Savic system. Later I can build upon the basics to integrate functions such as superheating steam for maximum power of the turbine to PMA conversion, and implementing a gasifier instead of an open fire for efficiency of fuel consumption.
If the planned destruction of modern civilisation continues at current pace it will be a system for the 1st World as well as the 3rd...
Leave it with me, I will get there, and when I do get there I will provide you with the materials to join me.
Peace brother...
Rob
