    Hi Slider,

The Peter Davey bells were quite significant to me, because they led to the Savic sonic boiler, which is when I discovered AC electrode boilers. It did not take me long to realise that the infrastructure I designed for DC hybrid turbines was suitable for AC without modification. This actually solved some very difficult problems I was having with the original SEC design, which was completely redesigned as a result.

The integration of a dump valve onto an AC electrode boiler is something I was thinking about as a logical next step in development as a self governed steam injector for a turbine.

The main application I intend for it is based around a system I am developing for the 3rd World, the basic premise is light a fire to create a static steam head of pressure, desalinating the salt and impurities, which can then run a Pulsometer for land irrigation. Eventually I am aiming to run a steam turbine with the salt free water, which when condensed at the exhaust will provide drinking water as well as electricity from the PMA. So basically it is a low tech system requiring only an open fire to grow food, heat, provide electricity and drinking water. The use of seawater instead of drinking water from the underground aquifers solves the problem farmers are experiencing with a falling water table in places such as India.

The difficulty for me is in the "off the shelf" parts for the Everyman principle, a custom designed system is easy, just needs lot's of money. But hey, I like a challenge!

The AC electrode dump valve gives me easy on/off control of the heat source for prototyping and kills two birds with one stone for the Davey/Savic system. Later I can build upon the basics to integrate functions such as superheating steam for maximum power of the turbine to PMA conversion, and implementing a gasifier instead of an open fire for efficiency of fuel consumption.

If the planned destruction of modern civilisation continues at current pace it will be a system for the 1st World as well as the 3rd...

Leave it with me, I will get there, and when I do get there I will provide you with the materials to join me.

    Peace brother...

    Rob

Yer not kidding ! But, if you put a nice plastic surround on it, a few blue LED's and a name like 'Apple' on the front, they'd sell here anyway.

Ya know, it reminds me of a system I came up with back in the mid 90's, the Camping Generator. Only loosely of course, but with similar aims.
Here's a quick pic of where I was up to, lot of fun sticking the prototype on the electric cooker and lighting bulbs:

      Readable larger version: http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a129/slider27/TCC.jpg

It was around the time of the wranglings with an alledged inventors help company that advertised on TV. I've mentioned this before, but it's pertinent to the thread. I used them for The Electronic Book and was at Patent Form 10/77 when all broke down. Didn't get past the first stages of the Patent application, but it's still there as some kind of intellectual property history and is shown on the following page:

Here it is, 15 years later: Kindle - Best-Selling Ereader - Only $69

        I hear ya man!

I looked into the "inventor help" companies as an option when formulating strategy, I rejected them for the exact reason you have demonstrated.

Look at the wasted energy in that cloud of steam. By manipulating phase change principles and the different properties of water as a liquid and gas I am attempting to virtually eliminate that waste. Efficiency will hugely increase as a result and added benefits such as increased mass flow through the engine will be incorporated. My eventual Everyman system should be quite interesting...

Not to mention data still to come in from the community on my other work, the implications of which is potentially... interesting...

Time is an issue for me at the moment, I don't have enough of it.

            a circut

Hi Mark, I like this thread since I have very little time and knowledge in many area's .
I would like a circut that is similar to pulse charging, I'm not sure how that even works
I'd like to charge caps ,then pulse electro-magnets with them.
I'd charge the caps with my own generator, and it would be nice if I could power the circut as well.
Pretty vague I know ,but I hope you get the idea.

@Rob - Very cool. I've an interest in steam projects and especially the Traction engines of the UK. Once owned a tabletop steam engine as a kid and i'd like to understand even Stirling engines a bit more. Will read your link properly in the morning. I've seen trucks and cars running on wood and it's always been of interest. The Tesla turbine is another that, as you said, can suffer from steam leakage heavily...hmm, something for the future most certainy.

@Shylo - I think I see what you mean lol. Much depends on the driving power. For small such setups there is the SS1CC from sMartcreations2010 that sounds similar, or something like Lidmotor's 'Penny'. Both are on YouTube. Larger may include the Bedini solid state version of the SSG motor. Feel free to PM me and we can chat about your envisaged system...there might be something out there already that suits what you have in mind and then it would be a simple enough replication.
Pulse charging mostly is used to describe a system that doesn't supply voltage and current constantly to a battery or capacitor. Instead, the output of perhaps a collapsing coil is used every time a transistor fires. The firing energizes the coil, the transistor stops, the collapse is routed to the battery or capacitor. If a bridge rectifier is used (4 diodes) then the sent out energy can't come back to the circuit. It charges with those blips of energy, pulsed each time the circuit fires and in so doing the voltage and current rise.

                RotoMax Phase Change Hybrid Turbine

                Slider...

I have moved a little beyond basic steam engines, I have worked for many years on designing a new breed of hybrid turbine engine that operates on phase change principles... it potentially will use 4 working fluids, HHO, steam, ambient temperature liquid water, and air. All 4 fluids will be injected sequentially within a single rotation of the rotor and perform specific complimentary functions with rotor efficiency approaching 100% due to the elimination of back pressure.

The dump valve injector I have offered to send you a working model of is the first stage in the actual build of my 4" micro RotoMax, here is the housing I will be using:

BSPP 150 LB Equal Cross | 4.00" BSPP 150LB EQ CROSS 316 | stainless steel

I am no longer doing any theoretical development, purely concentrating on build with off the shelf parts, I intend to demonstrate my phase change hybrid engine one day.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask, I will help you if I can.

I know you answered that, but surely you can do them on a per order basis until things pick up? edit: and once they do, it would make a great "sciency" thing at Toys r Us etc.

                      Hi Regster.

I hope Aaron is ok with prices being mentioned, if not, i'll edit and direct to PM me.
It's wise to post though, in case people think i'm some rip off rogue !

I'll be setting up a website as a forward direction and needed thing to do (something like Lasersaber has and thanks to b_rads for the initial setting up).
Got half a dozen made and parts for a dozen more at the moment.
$6 each, including postage to the CONUS.
Kits for building the circuit for $4 - including transistor, 2x capacitors, resistor, superbright LED, pre-tinned wiring to the correct length for LED and input connections and 6" galvanized steel and house gauge new copper electrodes, circuit diagram and instructions.
New components will be included where possible, but at the moment I salvage mostly from what I have, selecting and testing the highest hFE transistors etc as I go. For example using C1815-GR over C1815-Y designation.
An 'Unlisted' YouTube private video will be made for any order, to show the exact lights or kits being ordered, for peace of mind and verificaton that it's what you ordered.. Ordering is fine for any quantity, from 1.
Payments by Paypal to cougarloverjrv@yahoo.com for the moment (wife's account due to being a USA citizen and the name is from being a John Mellencamp fan, not a predatory middle aged woman lol)

Each takes about 2hrs to make and the price is fair, without a thought to any wage. Though, the wish is to have them mass made to bring them in line with Chinese solar setups.
Shipping will always be at cost for any larger order, can be verified when order arrives on your doorstep - when things straighten out !

                        Hi Mark,
                        I sent you a PM.
I found your camping generator to be quite interesting for I have been thinking along these similar lines for some time. I have an idea that may work well along side of your generator. Perhaps we can bump heads on this a bit in the future.

                          Mark

Being unemployed and without perspective for any job I have crazy idea. Why not invent a light source for third countries but novel one in many aspects and then find a way to produce it and distribute by the help of some humanitarian organization like UNESCO ? Of course we will be employed to improve , develop and assembly devices from parts with salary partly based on actual assembly work but also partly as a license kind of fee. At least I had a hope something like that is possible....

                            Wireless Electrolysis

                            Hi Slider,

I see solar led garden lights in the £ shop all the time over here in the UK, so it is pretty hard to compete with that.

Maybe a niche market catering specifically to the energy research community would be more helpful to you.

For example, I need wireless electrolysis for my experiments and TK recently invented a very effective way of doing this:

Wireless Power: Wireless DC Electrolysis Demo First Trial - YouTube

                            Testing the TK Tar Baby

The circuit he uses has been open sourced and it is not expensive parts wise, so if your interested let me know and I will try and dig through the thread and find the schematic and parts list.

                            Rob

@Gene - Thanks, yes, have replied
The Camping Generator has a place and does work. A ceramic casing to the motor was where I was up to with it. Very simple thing really, an electrical steam engine.

@boguslaw - Indeed and very much a drive for me too. A lot of people here have the wish to rebalance the world society, make it a fairer world without politics and banks stomping on progress. It's up to us, for them and for ourselves. While there may not be true overunity devices around, there are certainly a lot of efficient circuits to help many people with the basics of light and heat.
For another thread, we could do a list of devices with parameters. The least energy required, cost to build, ampleness of supplies and more. Something like a Top 10 for each criteria and leading designs would have the most points. Something lke the way that distrowatch.com handles Linux operating systems. From those results, the leading design is built and distributed.

@Rob - Intriguing, especially the effect to the neo magnet in the jar !
I've been following Dr. Stiffler's videos on YouTube and his SEC versions of something similar. Science kits of such experiments would be a good route once the effects and observations have been collated. Interestingly, the pancaked coiled copper has been how i've been running Earth energy collector experiments, for surface area.

Must mention, the China factor. People over here in the USA complain about nothing being 'Made in America'. But, when it is, they find it's cheaper from China and so buy it from there !
Look at todays story of the success of the iPhone 5 and how the Foxxconn factory is having labour issues with the Chinese workers !
As Millions Buy iPhone 5, Chinese Workers at Apple Plant Foxconn Protest Work Conditions | NationofChange
The Chinese people, quite rightly, are demanding fair conditions.
If Apple won't invest in America and help to create a Silicon Valley 2.0 for pioneering innovation, then what's the message ?!

btw, just because solar lights sell cheaply here/there doesn't mean this isn't a cool product that can demand a higher markup. Look at this piece of crap that was for sale in Toys r Us....
