Lasersaber's SOLN1

Lasersaber has just shown a video for an all in one solar setup - everything contained in the framing of a 20W panel. Inverter, Joule Ringer, USB output, battery packs.

In my opinion, such a construction method is the knee that renewable energy setups needed to have happen...to combine all the parts traditionally needed in solar projects into one finished usable device.

The specs of his prototype are -
20W solar panel.
200W inverter
Joule Ringer circuit
2x 20Ah Li-Ion 14V packs (correction, they are lifepo4)
2A capable USB out
Single switch on/off
Price to build the first one $325

@Lasersaber - thanks for the clarification.
It would be good to run through your experiences with lifepo4 cells. I'm sure many will see a correlation to li-po's and thoughts of strong sun exposure.
One idea is a ceramic barrier for peace of mind, something thin and readily available to dissipate any heat....also and related, collected heat could be used by some form of Peltier onboard unit for running status lights and small backup loads during the main pack charge.
I bet many are glad you'll be posting more on forums - It's been post, run with it, post, run with it for many of us

Hi Lasersaber

Hope the control circuit to be easy to replicate

Now im using the rediant oscillator from Bedini for boosting the charging of 2 7 ah batteries separately from 2 series 10 w panels Check out the solar switch from JB it will surely fit for low lighting or can just make it as well

the simple inverter from skywatcher works fine also lots of ideas built into one

we need to aspire for the all weather Laser solinone lol
