Can you tell me what type of motors you are using?

Riddle, did you even read the thread? It is stated several times those are shaded pole motors used in all kinds of appliances. It has also been stated several times by those of us that know about motors that the video is a fake. Look at post number 14 and I explain why those kinds of motors will not work like he shows in the video.

It can be compelling on many levels

With the steel cores bound together and the rotors acting as commutators, Doesn't it have the hallmarks of a bitt and a LC circuit? As such if they are in sync with respect to multiple motive technics then wouldn't the saying "many hands make light work" apply?

Absolutely not real. There are what are known as phasing coils on the cores of such motors. They are single turn inductors which cause a phase shift to aid in rotation. They are short circuited secondaries essentially on a transformer. They waste energy in order to create a simulated rotation in the magnetic field. Not all that efficient.

            Hi Armagdn03,

What is amazing to me about this whole thread is the number of people that don't even know what kind of motor that is and yet they are the very same ones that insist it could work! That seems to me like someone that doesn't know a piston from a spark plug trying to tell a mechanic he knows more about how an engine operates than the mechanic does. I am afraid the average intelligence level of this forum is seriously dropping. It is no wonder that a lot of the senior members of this forum have stopped even posting any more. Thanks for trying to add a little bit of real knowledge to this thread.

              Hey Carroll

It's the same old thing. Folks talking and talking, but few and far between who actually build. The forum has filled up with people posting their "ideas" or something they "found on YouTube" for OTHER people to build instead of building it themselves. If they actually built a few things, they'd have a much better understanding of what absolutely will not work and what might be pointing in the right direction.

At this point the forum seems pretty dead because no one is showing results of anything that is working consistently.

                I'm just saying

If someone wants to fake you out then you have to have something that the various fans of bitts and LC enthusiasts could attest to the magical properties shown in the video is done well enough to have 3 pages of posts about it. I personally haven't studied the shaded pole motors to conclude real or fake.

Look at it this way someone arguing it was real based on LC or bitt principles might claim the energy isn't coming from the hp of rotation but the timing and rerouting of the fields initially set into play by the capacitor. If someone wants to back up their bravado then spend $50+ on motors, capacitors and rubber bands to back it up. If it ends up working then you don't need a bedini to charge your batteries anymore.

                  Thanks Carroll!

I build tons of pretty incredible things. I just started to get very tired of "throwing pearls before swine". Many people think that what I post is speculation, or I am "experimenting".I generally post the results of work, not the work along the way. I rarely document experiments for the public. It takes tons of time, and what you receive in return is hearsay and conjecture from people who have drifted into the aether as it were and are far off base from reality. It takes time, effort, and resources to document and share. Now I just poke in here and again to see if anything interesting has shown up. Erfinder's motor is the most interesting I have seen of late.

Take any tank circuit. Put a shorted secondary on it of any amount of turns you want. What happens to the Q? Ive been around long enough to say what I did with confidence. Ask any of the old folks from these forums. If they are even around anymore. Go find a few of the threads I started if you want some actual science and interesting result.

I don't know what happens to the energy in the short, that's why I admitted I didn't know enough for an educated evaluation. What I do know is that I continually battle the evil forces of marriage and the pull of gravity against my lard ass. I however and sincerely would like to know more about the operating principles of the shaded pole and squirrel cage motors. In that I thank you for your recommendation I will look for those threads.
