  • Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project (Cold Fusion) Open to Assistance

As you all know, as far as scientific breakthroughs go, it's all about replication. If you have something real, then it must be replicable in labs all over the world.

Cold fusion gained attention after reports in 1989 by Stanley Pons and Martin Fleischmann, then one of the world's leading electrochemists, that their apparatus had produced anomalous heat ("excess heat"), of a magnitude they asserted would defy explanation except in terms of nuclear processes.

One might think from the popular press, that all the attempted replications failed. Most did fail; but not all. Since there was little understanding of what the hell was going on at that time, and there was little knowledge of how to do the experiments correctly the results were hit and miss. The same lab could get positive results one week, and the next not. Most everyone gave up and concluded it was all a big mistake.

That said, a few dedicated scientists who had results, realized that there was something here that if understood and refined, could change the world as we know it. So, here we are twenty years later.

So, cutting to the chase. You may have heard of some who are boisterously proclaiming huge cold fusion breakthroughs (now called Low Energy Nuclear Reactions/LENR). They may have; they may not. However, there are others not so loud, who are doing provable LENR replication. One of those is Francesco Celani.

Francesco Celani, a physicist with the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics in Frascati, Italy. He has constructed a reliable desktop reactor that others can use replicate to prove that LENR is real and valid.

Currently, there is a small group of scientists, engineers and technicians called the Hunt Utilities Group, who are partnering with the Martin Fleischmann Memorial Project, whose soul purpose is to replicate and refine -- even further if necessary -- Celani's reactor. They are doing so in order to make a totally plug-and-play unit that can be sold to universities and scientists around the globe to prove beyond a doubt that LENR is real. This unit will incorporate everything: the reactor, all measuring and sensory apparatus and electronics, software, instructions and even a laptop computer so that you can setup and go. Once LENR is proven by many replications, then monies will flow into this remarkable, inexpensive, nonpolluting new energy generation...and our world will change forever. It's truly that BIG.

These guys are doing everything they can to painstakingly cover all the bases and do this project the justice it deserves. It is a totally open-to-all project, where they post and document their work and results (good or bad) everyday if they can.

This is a interdisciplinary project that requires everything from physics and mechanical engineering to mathematics and software tech to basic organization of all this stuff. You name it, it's likely a discipline that can in some way help.

If you feel an interest in contributing in some way to this important project, please go to Initiate and/or go directly to the forum: New Fire :: Category Index and show yourself.

    Thank you all,

    James

Sorry, I made a bit of mistake in the first post. The reactors will not be sold. But rather the most respected independent institutions get a reactor for FREE (assuming there are enough people willing to take part in supporting the Kickstarter).

They are first required to perform the standardized tests – live publishing data and web stream. That gives us independent exact replication. Then they will be able to let rip and do anything they like – and be encouraged to share results.
