I see so many things about the world we're in and so many problems, as well as ridiculously easy solutions..

But why haven't we heard nearly anything about space development ever since the "space race" (Which was mainly just missile testing..) ending?

I mean, we all worry so much about resources and what not but.. In the end, isn't space the answer to a lot of things?

Asteroid mining for one would bring untold prosperity.

So, why not explore space?

Over-unity devices would make this all but easy.
