Hi to all on the forum.
I have spent time studying Eric Dollards "Four quadrant Theory of Electricity" and would like to get someones very general opinion of the theory. Not necessarily that of Eric Dollard himself, but of someone that believes that they understand what it is used for.
Upon my first reading, I get the sense that it would be generally useful if I did not, say, have a power meter (to my home, for example) that would run backwards if I generated more power with my home energy system than I could use. The home energy system could, for example be solar or any sort of generation system that used fossil fuels.
My understanding is that, using the Four quadrant system, with two of the quadrants dealing with energy generation and two quadrants dealing with energy use, one can observe/measure the power either used or generated, at any instant.
I do not see how the Four Quadrant Theory is used in terms of energy synthesis, if my use of the term is consistent with that of the community at large. By Synthesis, I mean the generation of energy from manipulation of fields in the sense of "longitudinal waves" and other ideas spoken of by Eric Dollard.
I can appreciate the details of the theory but the general usefulness of it is somewhat vague.
Your comments are appreciated.
