Most of the things I've built I've never seen before because I'm not some robot that thinks the same way some others do. I think differently than most and I'll say something else. Having any doubt in yourself makes a huge difference also.
Sometimes you just have to open your mind, heart, and soul to all possibilities and let the answers flow to your mind but don't try to force it and don't try to think, just relax and let it happen. Let the objects you want to create form themselves in your mind. Sometimes by thinking to hard about something it becomes easier to overlook some important things that could have made a project work. Most of the time I tend to have extremely good success in whatever I try to create or build
It also helps a great deal to have experience in multiple areas (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, programming, electronics, etc) as it greatly improves the imaginative scope while trying to create anything new
