    Hi GSM,

When you are refering to Tesla's patents, are those the patents available to the public or all of his patents, known and unknown.

    From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nikola Tesla was an inventor who obtained around 300 patents[2] worldwide for his inventions. Some of Tesla's patents are not accounted for, and various sources have discovered some that have lain hidden in patent archives. There are a minimum of 278 patents[2] issued to Tesla in 26 countries that have been accounted for. Many of Tesla's patents were in the United States, Britain, and Canada, but many other patents were approved in countries around the globe.[3] Many inventions developed by Tesla were not put into patent protection.
List of Nikola Tesla patents - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've read a lot more than 300 but how do we find out for sure. Could be 2 sets of records, ours filled with genuine patents and the blanks left by the missing ones filled with patent applications. I have talked to a person (I know him personaly) that saw first hand demonstration of water completely combusting after a powder was mixed to it. That happened in NYC in the late 80's.

    Take care,

    Michel

Archived from the original on October 30, 2007. Retrieved October 8, 2010. "The investigation also implies that total number of Tesla's patents could be about 300, though it is considered that the number of the Tesla's original patents is final."

Surely there are Tesla patents not available to public, but among those available there are some very very strange indeed. If you find them you should immediately got a feeling Tesla was tried to cover some bigger idea inside some ordinary looking inventions like fountain.

      Hobby Eon

I don't remember, maybe ask Mr Tesla ? But seriously , I wasn't there to see the demonstration, I was rather busy that day in 1931
I tried to find any newspaper articles but online there aren't so many really. You would be in better situation as you can go to US library and take a look. C'mon, do that !

Though I do have both Books of Revelations - the Bible, and the one referred to in Ernst's link which opened this thread.

          I'm curious about something.
How do we know if Wardenclyffe was the the transmitter or receiver?

It seems to me it was the receiver. AFAIK there is no power generation facilities on Long Island.

            Hi GSM,

Sorry if I did not get the meanning right when you refered to the underlined passage below. I assumed you did look at the patents available and found no free energy device mentioned.

He had a 'free energy' generator, but after the demo he stripped it out from his expensive car and did nothing more with it.

Is there a cryptic Patent on a completely independent home sized 'free energy' generator due to Tesla anywhere ?

            Cheers ................. Graham.

His understanding of ancient Sanskrit texts did influenced his writings early on. Here is a quote describing some of his studies and work that influenced his conception of the world around us :
            Abstract ...

Nikola Tesla used ancient Sanskrit terminology in his descriptions of natural phenomena. As early as 1891 Tesla described the universe as a kinetic system filled with energy which could be harnessed at any location. His concepts during the following years were greatly influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda was the first of a succession of eastern yogi's who brought Vedic philosophy and religion to the west. After meeting the Swami and after continued study of the Eastern view of the mechanisms driving the material world, Tesla began using the Sanskrit words Akasha, Prana, and the concept of a luminiferous ether to describe the source, existence and construction of matter. This paper will trace the development of Tesla's understanding of Vedic Science, his correspondence with Lord Kelvin concerning these matters, and the relation between Tesla and Walter Russell and other turn of the century scientists concerning advanced understanding of physics. Finally, after being obscured for many years, the author will give a description of what he believes is the the pre-requisite for the free energy systems envisioned by Tesla.
Nicola Tesla, Albert Einstein and Swami Vivekananda

These ancient Sanakrit texts describe flying vimanas of different size, weapons and other concepts that influenced his writings and researches. He also knew many prolific inventors of the time that also influenced him, Stubblefield to name one that used free energy devices in a smaller package but similar to Tesla Wardenclyffe magnifying transmitter.

            Take care all,

            Michel

              more

For his generators Tesla 'borrowed' a lot the from the Belgian inventior Gramme.
Tesla invented the coaxial cable ?? Edison was forced to put his high voltage cables underground.
He invented a copperpipe isolated by rope and tar and put in a cast iron pipe. There is your coax cable invention.
              Phuh !

Perhaps because the Gramme machines were the only 'real' working electrical dynamos at the time?

I'd love to see the facts for this one, Edison was putting down those underground powerlines before Tesla was even out of college.

                    To be corrected

Why doesn't Ernst correct this one ?

Wardenclyffe Tower - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In England mr. Faraday gave the royal lectures. Tesla began to copy this too.
And he extremely envied Wilhelm Röntgen for his invention and tried to steal that claim also.

Maybe Tenaus doesn't understand this also ? (= his problem)

Actually, it is well documented that Tesla was not interested in Royal Lectures because they interfered with his work. Also, Royal Lectures aren't exclusive to Faraday and Tesla, many other people gave lectures, you seem to imply that they weren't common.

                      From "My Inventions":

From all parts of the world I received urgent invitations and numerous honors and other flattering inducements were offered to me, which I declined.

But in 1892 the demands became irresistible and I went to London ... It had been my intention to leave immediately for Paris in compliance with a similar obligation, but Sir James Dewar insisted on my appearing before the Royal Institution. I was a man of firm resolve but succumbed easily to the forceful arguments ... The next evening I gave a demonstration before that Institution, ... I fled from London and later from Paris to escape favors showered upon me, and journeyed to my home ... I began to formulate plans for the resumption of work in America.
Its easy to see that Tesla did not even want to lecture, and although he was convinced, he was very reluctant.

And he extremely envied Wilhelm Röntgen for his invention and tried to steal that claim also.
He often praised Roentgen for his discovery. Do you have any proof that Tesla envied Roentgen?

Maybe Tenaus doesn't understand this also ? (= his problem)
What is it that I do not understand? What is my problem? Your words are extremely unspecific and I can derive no meaning from them.

If you want to show that I don't understand things, or have a problem, why don't you present evidence to prove it, like I do?

What an awful negative statement Hobby Eon !

                            from - Tesla's Biography

In February 1882, Tesla discovered the rotating magnetic field, a fundamental principle in physics and the basis of nearly all devices that use alternating current. Tesla brilliantly adapted the principle of rotating magnetic field for the construction of alternating current induction motor and the polyphase system for the generation, transmission, distribution and use of electrical power.

Tesla had failed filament lamps illuminating like neons in his hand. Did his audience and you know they were not neons ?
Also he thought RF not the best option for transmission, so he wilfully chose to not develop it.

                            Cheers ............... Graham.

That is easy to answer; the first telegraph people discovered that they needed far less repeaters then calculated
and found out that their system kept working with depleted batteries !! We all know that Edison tricked Tesla
with his $50000 promise. Tesla thought right mister i will use your radiant patent ! Simple times by simple people.
