Shylo,
The V track is Matt's design, but having replicated it twice, I can see that this one has significant differences. I have NO IDEA if those differences affect performance, (I'd bet they do) but I can tell you this is NOT a replication of the original design.
The arrangement of magnets is incorrect. I won't go into specifics, since Matt pulled them from the internet a long time back (I copy everything and save it to a stand alone computer not connected to the internet) If Matt says it's ok, I can tell you what's wrong, or even post the original pic and specs on the magnets. (You have that wrong too...At least ONE of your magnets is the wrong size.)
Dave
Sorry man, I hate to be the bearer of bad news without clearing things up for you, but this is not mine to share. It's Matt's. I DID compare your replication with the original before making these statements, so I'm not just blowing smoke. Whether or not those differences will affect results, I couldn't say.
Post what ever you want. I am pretty sure I sent the specs and diagram but you can repost it.
Hi guys, Well it works , I tried about a hundred different things , including putting the travelers around a wheel.
Matt, all the travelers had equal spacers but now only five do. I just didn't bother to put them back in after the wheel attempt.
By placing the magnets on their flat at the end made it work. adding the two at the start reduces the force to push them in I think?
They now shoot out the end by about six inches.
Have you tried a longer track, if so how long ? I'm thinking really long that has a gradual curve, creating a circle.
Million things to try now.

If I get the time in the morning I'll model the fields so you can see what your looking for. There is a method for finding the right balance between the 2 sets.
If you make an assembly that works 4 inch's long, you can use a 4ft wheel with magnets 1/3 of the way and it will go through. The problem is once you make a loop they short out and you no longer get any traction from the thing.
For the entire loop to work you have to put shorts in between each magnet that force the small single magnet loop.
I'll try to show you what I am talking about in the morning.
I just finished making a curved track, the guide is too wide.
Holding the track so the magnets are going down they shoot down through at a good speed ,but kinda zig-zag as they go.
Holding the track so the magnets are going up they hit lock up ,but I think it's because of the zig-zag action.
Has anybody tried the curved track with success?

I tried a straight track with a 4' diameter rotor out of 3/4 inch plywood. That worked pretty well. I felt like I needed a 6-8 foot wheel. That big a wheel was a lot of weight for the magnets to rotate, but I was impressed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIumzgEKpjo

Hi Dave, In that video you should have four sets' of travelers, or better yet a continuos set of drive magnets.
Did you try that?
Sorry if you stated it in the video I watched it with no volume ...Thanks giving dinner and all..

Hi all, Been working on the mag track, ..Gravity is stronger than magnetism, if a certain amount of distance is involved.
If you reduce that distance , magnetism wins.
Do the forces of the fields radiate infinitely?
That is no matter the distance , are they still a force, albeit weaker?
Gravity always works, but magnetism only works in proximity?
