    Content
    The scientific engineering program focus on solar energy, wind power & human development, and energy transition as well as lectures on the basic of renewable energies, conventional energy supply, market development, self-sustainable markets, cost and price development, energy transition, energy storage: technologies, and Challenges.

    This Summer School will contain lectures, presentations, seminars/exercises, hand on training, excursions to renewable energy projects and sight-seeing tours of Paderborn.

    This Summer School consists of three one-week modules. Participants can choose to attend one module, two modules or the entire summer school.

    Summer School : "Wind Energy, Solar Power & Biogas Plants"

    1 - 20 September 2014 – Kassel and Bad Hersfeld (Germany)

    This course covers the following topics:
    1) Fundamentals of wind energy;
    2) Wind resource assessment;
    3) Grid connection of wind farms;
    4) Planning of wind energy projects;
    5) Fundamentals of various PV technologies;
    6) PV and hybrid systems;
    7) Grid integration of solar energy;
    8) Project planning of large-scale solar parks;
    9) Fundamentals of biogas use;
    10) Technology of biogas plants;
    11) Operation and maintenance of biogas plants;
    12) Biogas upgrading and feeding;
    13) Economy of biogas production. Lectures on these topics will be complimented by site visits to biogas, PV and wind plants.

    The German Academy for Renewable Energy and Environmental Technology offers this Summer School: “Wind Energy, Solar Power, & Biogas Plants” in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for WindEnergy and Energy System Technology (IWES). This summer school will consist of three, one-week modules which combine theory and practice focusing on wind, solar, and biogas energy. Through lectures, presentations, and exercises participants will further their knowledge pertaining to renewable energy. Each module includes a highly valuable practical aspect where participants will have the chance to visit German manufacturers and companies in the wind, solar, and biogas fields. These activities offer participants the opportunity to discuss their topics of interest with experts, producers, and potential business partners.

    Week 3: German Academy’s classroom at the Hessian Biogas Research Center, in Bad Hersfeld, Germany


    Target Group
    Professional engineers, technicians, academic scholars, as well as investors and educators in the field of renewable energies who wish to obtain a comprehensive introduction to renewable energy technology.


    Certificate
    A certificate of participation will be handed out to participants who have attended at least 90% of the summer courses upon completion of the program.

            If you know

            Dear German academy,
            Since you are based in Germany and want to teach Free Energy or Alternative Energy, have you ever heard of the Lockridge device? This is name given to this device from the DVD "Energy from the Vacuum part 14 The Lockridge Device" with John Bedini.

            It was brought to our attention by John Bedini and Peter Lindemann. It's basically a self running device that was in use in WW2 to power 300 watts of bulbs or a small heater.

            A small number of people here have been trying to replicate this for some time.

            Any information you may know of would be very helpful.

              German Academy

              As a sometime resident with a certain academic knowledge in Berlin and indeed in Germany per se I am not “aware” of the German Academy. Is it a German Uni or institute such as the Frauenhof/Max Planck et al???? Perhaps one should check what one is buying - yup buying! Of course I may well be powerful ignorant- and how!
