  • Bulld a perpetual motion toy for $20 in 20 mins. Pictures, simplex, rational and FUN!

Who says perpetual motion is impossible?!

well, no....., its not an OVERUNITY device, but it is driven by:
    1. gravity 2. magnetic field reciprocation .....both of which are non-stop "free" energy.

Get any power out of it???? Course not !!

But it does 'work' non-stop if adjusted perfectly. Of course by work I mean wobble, but really jumps with just a little bit of vibration.

inside each black mass (which is just JB weld putty that hardens like a rock) is a 1/2" cylinder magnet N55 gauss (very powerful) neodymium magnet.

like on like mag fields precessing around each other, combined with the free hanging magnet trying to point straight down from gravity but repelled away from the bottom magnet.......

combined with the bottom magnet sitting at the top of a very sensitive cone spring (copper wire).

    Driving factors?

    1. gravity,

    2. earth's magnetic field

    3. spring sensitivity

    4. magnetic repulsion

    5. air pressure / currents

    6. magnetic field reciprocation which is incommensurate depending on centripetal or centrifugal field movements (at the edge of the magnet)

1 thru 6 (if adjusted just right) will make it work NON STOP

    all for $20

mounted on an old HD , where I can turn the HD platters for super-fine adjustment so it will spin forever!

If adjusted perfectly the magnets gimbal around (precess) each other without stop.

Ive made a few of these and given them as gifts.

Once adjusted, even walking down the hall will cause them to precess faster from that minor vibration.

Love making magnetic art Make your own for $20 !!

I put one set on a speaker so............I can crank up the volume on the speaker and the vibrations make them both really dance!

    (nerdy? Sure, why not!).

    Looks like fun!

    Hi Theoria,
Could you post a short video of the device to demo the components and their relative positions to one another in time and space? Or even some pics from above and below.
I'm having trouble visualizing if the spiral cone spring has the magnet (ball of JB weld) spiraling in the same relative position and if the upper magnet is directly above or offset? It's hard to tell from the photos.
This looks like it will be a fun toy to build.
P.S. I'm enjoying slowly going through my copy of "Uncovering the missing secrets of Magnetism"
    Thanks
    Stephen
Potential, is a terrible thing to waste.

It can NEVER be directly above (of its own mutual accord), but it is placed geometrically above.
counter-voidance will not allow it to EVER be above , obviously.

Its just a toy, and a mental 'window' to think on the nature of field compression and Field Incommensurability.

It only takes 20 mins to make it. Most people have some wire and an OLD hard drive laying around that's dead.

Honestly, its a type of toy I think every person should have, and every young person, it makes them think about "action at a distance", field pressure, polarization, particle-free "instant action at a distance" (however this premise is a very old mental fallacy on many levels).....Since there is no space or time in field interactions, only space and time IN a field, the fields come first, the spacetime second.

Thinking is good, regardless of anyone's conclusions of the observations.

Kind regards on the book comment, I'm well underway into serious additions of a 3rd edition to make things much more clear

......AND add some (of course) much needed equations / formulas.

As for the video, Ill try, but I have 2 small Greek translations to do, work on the 3rd edition of the book, and also building a new type of motor that is extremely exciting (and very infuriating since there are several geometries to test and wear out the voltmeter in the process).

      I dont like winding coils.
