Why wont this work??

Hi All,

Below is a photo link showing a very heavy flat hoop feeding in between two free spin rollers.
The hoop does not have a center axle and is supported by the rollers.

As you can see the entire weight of the hoop is on the LEFT side and forces downward.

On the RIGHT side that weight forces upward between the rollers.

My question is why wont the hoop turn forever?

This device is gravity related. No magnets and can be built out of most anything. Roller placement may be critical.

I cant say for certainty without seeing it, but the usual problem is it is in balance even though it might not look that way.

Without seeing the pic, I suggest that it will be about lever arms or the fact that the length of a rod means that more/less potential energy is involved.
