        Hi.
        You may be interested in my attempt at generator coil shorting from a while back.
        Pulse Motor Generator Coil Shorting Test
        As you can see in the video the brightest purple neon flashes happen at a certain sweet spot, TDC.

          Very nice, you are shorting with pwm. did you try to fill caps with that? I want to know what is the difference between shorting at peeks of the sine wave vs shorting all the time with pwm like in your video. (regarding drag and time needed to fill a cap to a certaint point).

          question: why mosfets and not bipolars?
