Hi, just basic test results. Max pull force about 5 pounds.
Working on TOMI to help drive the pendulum.

I apologize for the above mess, Mikey felt your thread needed to be spammed to protect you from me. Again I apologize for my part in it. I can be hard to get along with. LOL
What is a TOMI?
I don't want to be too nosy. I have something similar, but different that creates a gain in torque. I like your alternator setup and of course that gearing is wonderful.
Thanks for sharing it means alot.

Hi, it is open source project. Most of the ideas have come from other projects on youtube.
The PMA at 500 RPM creates about 120 Vdc with no load. I have to adjust my MPPT circuit than I can start testing under manual operation.
Without the MPPT circuit it will waste most of the generated power as heat at the PMA stator.
The TOMI is a magnetic track, search google for more details. Some of the info available is confusing and I will have to do some experimenting to find the best configuration. The configuration in the video seems to work well.
The PMA is recycled washing machine motor, radial flux configuration. It does have some no load cogging, a axial flux configuration would work better.
I will post more test results when available. Comments and suggestions are welcome. CheersLast edited by Burnit0017; 09-24-2014, 10:43 PM.

Theory of Magnetic Instability by Stewart A. Harris
Hi, here is a link. The configuration in the video must be a single array. I find it confusing. All the pole are reversed so it looks like it will not work. I really need to do some experimenting with it.

QGD driving PMA - YouTube
Hi, I became side track fabricating a Skinner similar device. I was able to establish that with no weights there is no rotation. I made the center shaft to short. The other problem with the design is low RPM. This is from the limit of the tilt angle.
Because most of the parts are already fabricated I plan to add another gearset and increase the tilt angle to 90 degrees. This will create a overbalanced wheeled where one side is always heavier. I will use a small electric motor with a overrun clutch to power the device and I will post results when available.

gravity assisted pulse motor - YouTube
Hi, over the winter I have been working with a pulse motor and experimenting with a gravity assisted flywheel.

Hi, the warmer weather has arrived and I found a configuration similar to Mat Jones bouncer pulse motor that I can use to drive a pendulum. I know all the parts work so I just need to reassemble the pendulum drive and test with the MPPT circuit and pulse motor. I will post results when available.
