Iv often wondered if we should be playing around with electricity or using it at all but this one verse has made me keep up the search.

Job 38:22-23 22 Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, 23 Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

This has nothing to do with free energy or mystery of patterns in snow flakes.

The time of trouble is the end of this world. When Jesus returns, the wicked will be destroyed, the dead in Christ will be raised and the living saints will be changed in the blink of an eye into their incorruptible flesh.

At the end of the 7 great plagues, here is what happens:

Revelation 16:21 And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

This is what Job 38:22-23 is referring to.

This has absolutely nothing to do with free energy machines coming out to "save" mankind.

The Bible is about the great plan of redemption and the fact that sin is so terrible that God had to come and die for them so we don't have to for the penalty for any sin is death (Romans 6:23). God saves by giving us power through the Holy Spirit to overcome sin in our personal lives - not by giving people free energy machines so they can continue sinning longer and to greater heights.

Not to say that God is against "free energy" - since all energy, matter and life comes from God and He is the one that continually sustains it all! But if we want to unlock some secret of nature, we must correctly divide the holy word of God given to us and ask the Lord to help us in our efforts according to His will and not ours.
