a clock has to run analog. and it doesnt. it doesnt run as a machine or in an order. the only thing that clocks, ever measure. yo8u think of it. what? when you? have? to get up? when you ? have? to go to work? what do yo8u really use, a clock for.

if two people are watching the same movie/broadcast and one is in a rocket they still watch at the same rate

theres too many things to go over..
1 there is the leap day.

so a clock calendar is wrong. a day doesnt really matter and thats whats it. a calendar is what matters. and theres too much to explain there, but a day doesnt matter. someone who, doesnt work for a day the world doesnt end. if you didnt do one thing for a day, the world wouldnt end. so. theres proof a day, isnt. the most important thing about dates. and a clock is supposed to measure dates. which it cant. and an actual 24 hour clock, doesnt matter.

Leap day\year is because we have 365.25 days per year

The astronomical chart would be off if we didnt add leap day

Keep preaching we cant measure dates if it helps you

                    • Johnny,

The theory of relativity states that as you move faster and begin to approach the speed of light that time (for YOU) between ticks of a clock sloooooooows down or stretches out.

According to the theory, if a person on earth was watching a two hour movie and the person in a space ship moving near the speed of light were watching the same movie it would take each individual two hours of THEIR TIME to watch the movie, but there would be a time difference when the time of one is compared, (related) to the time of the other.

In other words, four hours might have gone by for the person on earth while only two hours went by for the person on the ship because there was twice as much time between the ticks of their clock. You can't prove or disprove this with your movie analogy. It doesn't work that way. The only way to prove it is to take two atomic clocks. Put one in a spaceship traveling as fast as it can go for a period of time and then compare the two and see if they still show the same time. They have actually DONE this with atomic clocks sent up in NASA ships to orbit the Earth at several hundred miles per hour (google it) and they show a difference. Not a tremendous difference, I'll grant you, but then they were only going 600 miles per hour not 670,616,629 miles per hour, which is the speed of light. So if you multiply that slight difference time 100,000 it could be significant.

I'm afraid your movie theory does not even address the theory of relativity because whether the theory of relativity is correct or incorrect, in EITHER CASE each individual would watch a two hour movie in two hours of THEIR OWN TIME. The real question is, "Is there more time between the ticks of the clock as you approach the speed of light or not." I don't have that answer. And nothing YOU or I can do will prove it one way or another. I wish we could.
I hope this makes sense. Not trying to be an ass.

                      Dave

                                My Friend Johnny Falcón,

I am not going to counter argument your main question above, since I agree with you, however, Einstein´s Theory needs to be interpreted from a different point of view.

Einstein was sure Space WARPS under the influence of C, (which was the fastest speed He could get a grip on, not caring about N. Tesla mentioned about Neutrinos being faster than light)

Sir Arthur Eddington conducted the famous experiment in West Africa and Brazil...during a Sun Eclipse in 1919, aiming towards the Star Cluster of Hyades...then a negative picture of the eclipse and other from night time were over-imposed, which proved there was a bigger distance as predicted by Einstein, comparing it with the Newtonian prevailing Theory up to date. This pushed Einstein and his Theory to the Fame...up to now.

So, going to your twin brother, watching that movie in his ship going at C...it is not about your brother watching it faster than you on Earth...

If your brother travels at speed of light in his ship...He will watch the movie during the same time it takes for you to watch it.

But that's not "it"...the main issue here...is that Your brother's ship will "Bend Space" around it, including everything within and around him...while you are -compared to him- static on Earth rotation/time watching same movie.

Time and Space are completely and DIRECTLY related and dependable whenever applied to any moving or rotating object...We all know that...

So, if the speed of light could bend Space, according to Special Relativity...then it will bend time as well...

Meaning, your brother's ship will start differentiating from your time reference by becoming wrapped around a Space-Time "Bubble", which also stretches the 'immediate' space/time path left behind at departure from Earth. All this scenario 'alters' your time and his time becoming a kind of "Time-Space Barrier" between you two.

But not only this occurs...as Einstein's "Non Proved Theory"...but Mass will also "grows" with the speed of C...So, any human flying on this speed will start growing up in size til explosion takes place...

This Theory not only brings a lot of BS...but it is a complete brake to development, future and evolution.

Every time a Ufo is seen in space this Theory is broken in pieces ...
