  • AV plug connected to the phase wire?

Recently I've seen in the net a simple schematic where the AV plug was connected to the output of a microwave oven transformer. The av plug was connected only in the phase wire.

    Has anyone tried it?

AV plug is 1/2 of diode bridge. It works but now very efficient. The higher frequency the better.

So it would be a better idea to connect it to the output of a neon transformer? the neon transformer has high voltage and high frequency.

The higher the frequency the faster it charges the capacitor?
