  • Hi-voltage backspike.

My original setup had the Reed switch in series with the battery and coil. I don't know which one of the contacts the magnet's on or how the magnet contact was facing. Where would the high voltage come from in that simple circuit to trigger the "Plasma Transformation" and the Birkeland spin currents? I imagine it may have been the hi-voltage "Backspike" in the Reed switch at high speed that caused the plasma transformation. The magnet contact may have been wired the other way around for the flyback to generate the Birkland Currents from the reversed (Magnetic Anode) contact?

Here's what twin vortex currents would look like from magnetic bi-polarization:

    • Magnetic plasma fields.

"The first concept that plasma fluid motions can generate magnetic fields, which is called (Dynamo Mechanism) in astrophysics, came from Hale's observation of vortex features surrounding sunspots".

Look at this demonstration video of the (dynamo mechanism) magnetic field from a "Plasma Ball": The "Magnetic Field" is amplified through a body conductor!

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMV26cRBCrQ

This video demonstrates conclusively that the plasma dynamo "Magnetic Field" travels through a conductor!

      • Magnetic field effecting plasma arc.

"This video demonstrates how a magnetic field affects the charged particles in a plasma arc. Plasma actually does make a functional force field".

What this inventor (Proto G) dosen't realize is that his plasma vortex generates a very powerfull spinning magnetic field capable of motoring a neo magnet rotor!

        • Neo plasma vortex.

This "Plasma Vortexer" represents potentially the biggest advance in electric motor technology since Tesla's "Rotating Magnetic Field 3 phase A.C. Induction Motor":

          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5GY...&nohtml5=False

At 1:00 minute he slows the motion to 500 frames per second and the "Birkeland Filiments" grow visable in the rotating arc.

Imagine what this very powerful rotating magnetic field would do to a bearingless neo magnet sphere spinner!

          • "Bug Zapper" Neo Ring Magnet plasma spinner.

Imagine hooking a 9 volt battery input to 10,000 volt output modified "Bug Zapper" circuit like (Woopyjump's) to a 4" neo ring magnet with a stainless steel electrode lie (Proto G's), sitting upright; Then placing a pyrex dish on high enough spacers to clear the neo ring field but influenced by the spinning plasma field, and starting a neo sphere magnet rotating on top. I bet that would really sizzle up to near sonic velocity fast! That model should qualify as a unique contender for next year's pulse motor build off! A no output coil sheer "Lorentz Force" motor! Thick magnetic shielding over the top of the neo ring magnet would help reduce drag.

            • Potting a ring magnet.

At 1:40 in this video we see how "potting" an axial polarized ring magnet with a steel collar completely suppresses the "South" side of the magnetic field on one end while redirecting it to the side of the collar:

This elegant soloution would allow us to run our plasma vortex spinner completely free of magnetic drag off one face of the ring magnet! However, the exclusive use of the North field would restrict the orientation of spin to one direction only:

              https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WJDFGvWkkc

(Steel Side Walls) play a trick on the coupled diametric "Magnet Switch" below as well:

"Tungsten aka Wolfram is paramagnetic so it is weakly attracted to magnets"

A completely non-magnetic stainless steel electrode would eliminate drag all together.

A custom "Plasma Tube" with a potted ring magnet and a non-magnetic stainless steel electrode could be built by "Bill". Bill's Plasma Tubes Gallery. The high speed neo rotor would supply additional "Quenching" to the (Plasma Tube) ring magnet and electrode.

                • Back EMF.

"When a DC electric motor runs at high speed it wastes most of the applied voltage to the curse of back EMF". "Standard electric motors are horrendously inefficient"!

The "Plasma Vortex" electric motor would be completely free of the curse of BEMF inefficiency! It should exceed 100%.

I'm initiating a new thread entitled "Plasma Vortex Motor" because the evolved concept no longer involves a Reed switch.

                  • Spiral "Plasma Coils".

I noticed this patent recently; 20Khz is in the range of an oscillating Reed Switch:

We're basicly speculating about the practicality of running an A.C. synchronous electric motor off radio waves with these kinds of resonating wire ribbon spiral coils.

"Spiral coils generate very powerful electromagnetic fields by operating with two different but simultaneous resonant behaviors. Quarter-wave resonance is established by adjusting the frequency (and wavelength) of a radiofrequency (RF) voltage source until the length of the spiral conductor is equal to ¼ of the wavelength of the alternating voltage. This generates an electromagnetic standing wave with at least one peak node and at least one null node. Inductive-capacitive (L/C) resonance is established by optimizing the thickness and width of the wire ribbon used to make the spiral coil. When inductance and capacitance are balanced, the current response will synchronize with the voltage input, creating in-phase behavior, minimal total impedance, and maximal power output. If two such coils are placed near each other, they will create an extremely powerful electromagnetic field between them, which can promote chemical and plasma reactions involving charged particles such as ions or plasma particles, possibly including nuclear fusion reactions".

                    • A.C. frequencies.

From the patent: This Hotek RF power generator beats a crummy Reed switch:

"At AC frequencies of 10 kilohertz or greater, the common references to “alternating current” (AC) voltage begin using a different term, which is “radiofrequency” (RF) voltage. Accordingly, RF voltage is a form (or subset) of AC voltage, which operates at frequencies higher than 10 kilohertz. RF power generators are readily available, and are sold by numerous companies that can be easily located by an Internet search, using the term “RF power generator”. For example, Hotek Technologies Inc. (hotektech.com) sells two RF power generators, called the AG 1024 and AG 1012 models, which can provide output power at frequencies ranging from 20 kHz to 1 MHz; the 1012 model has a power output of 1000 watts, while the 1024 model has a power output of 2000 watts. The output frequency of any such RF power supply can be adjusted and “tuned” across the entire range of operating frequencies, merely by turning knobs or manipulating other controls in a power supply of this type ".

Hans Coler suggested that ferromagnetism is a fluctuation phenomenon with a frequency around 180 kHz.

Qote from "Magnetic Resonance Amplifier" inventor Norm Wooton:

"Joel and I were successful in isolating and identifying the fundamental Ferromagnetic Resonant Frequency as being around 174.9 KHz. Doesn't it sound ironic that this freq should fall so close to what the Corums have determined that Tesla designed his big coil out in Colorado springs around"?

Brilliant find Allen! Great quote. I'm assuming this is in reference to single strand flat spiral coils (as opposed to, say, the Series Bifilar spiral coil).

The phenomena associated with the spiral coil as per this quote result from finding and using the proper frequency and wavelength. My question would be whether in fact there is a coil topology with similar characteristics (to the spiral coil) which will act in the same way within a DC motor. Furthermore, I wonder if such a coil winding(s) would interact with a rotating magnet in such a way that it would enable the rotor to settle in to a set frequency (of rotation) from which these phenomena would naturally occur. In this sense, I am wondering if there is a way for nature to guide or govern this process within a specially wound DC motor that would also act as a generator at the same time.

                        • Plasma vortex

There's a good video of a plasma arc at :10 seconds into this video inside an oscillating magnetic Reed switch:

This plasma forms a spiraling vortex, as pictured below, due to the magnet at the cathode end of the Reed switch contacts:

                          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gI6taD9fiE

The spiraling plasma vortex sends a powerful spiraling electromagnetic wave into a wire coil if attached to one. This transmits a "spin wave" that can power a magnet rotor at high velocity.

                          • It is my understanding that the vortex between contacts involves not only the charge moving from one contact to the other, but also the interaction of the environment/aether. In this sense, it (reed switch) can be considered a means for imparting open an system character to the setup (despite being encased in glass), and would arguably raise its COP.

                              @Bob Smith,

Exactly Bob. Another thing is an inexpensive Reed switch is a better deal then a thousands of dollars Hotek Power Generator to reach those RF frequencies for the twin spiral ribbon coils. We just simply need to measure the frequency of the plasma oscillation first, then cut the ribbons to the correct length for the resonant spirals.

                              • Frictionless bearing.

Here's a quite simple nearly "Fricton free" bearing:

                                https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB8tvnHq5qo

A diametric tube with a ball bearing on the bottom and a steel rod set in the top could easily hang suspended the same way as the top.
