I just finished putting an old telephone handset to my cell phone. The unit works very well and keeps the cell phone away from my head and I do not have to use the speakerphone.

The steps are easy. Using your headset from your cell phone you remove the little speakers and attach the wires to the speaker of an old fashioned corded handset.

You attach the microphone wires to the microphone.

I used both sides of the speaker wires for the receiver and it gives a clear and loud volume.

The microphone has no problem with clarity as well.

Finally you choose some kind of case or you can hard wire the plug to the cord, but be sure to use heat shrink tubing.

That's a beauty. Those old style telephone microphones and
speaker have a far higher quality and a much more friendly
feeling when talking.

Increased comfort. That way if you talk long hours the phone
radiation won't drill a hole in your head.

Finally give your monster a home. Some type of container that you can carry preferably with a handle. It will be a bit peculiar to other people who have no understanding, but then they never will.

While this has been fun, there are companies who sell manufactured versions. I believe my project will teach others about simple soldering on tiny fibrous wires and how to attach them without destroying their project.

The vtech LS916 is one such model.

I think my older parts are superior and will last longer than any sold.
