Would you check the resulting magnetic pattern for the combination of two magnets and iron screw with a magnetic film viewer ? Would you observe any symmetry ?

              Hi nathan,

Not sure if i understand your question correctly.
But i'm not in possession of magnetic film.
If i would take a guess, it will not be symmetrical.

Maybe that alone is the justification for the change in velocity ?

                    Will plasma conduct low voltage?

I was wondering if i could eliminate brushes by using a high voltage spark as the brushes for a low voltage current.

I have seen relatively low voltages go through a plasma
a bit of a trick to set it up though,
you have to have a high voltage arc to start the plasma and then turn it down to low voltage at higher current.
or electric contact and then pull the arc out
a 50 ohm resistor, 120Vac, and gold plated connection on one side makes for some fun playing
just tap the connections and then pull them away, I get at least 1/4 inch gap before it breaks

                        Hi spacecase ( I keep thinking "spacecake" a local delicatesse : )

I tried it very simple, I set up the high voltage connection trough the axel and a magnet, with a spark gap. Then I tried to add a battery powered low voltage high amp over that arc to get a rotation from the magnet like a homopolar motor.

Unfortunately i did not work .

                          Melting a Utron

Now I decided on the design, its time to make some solid ones.

I decided on casting them in aluminium. As I have never done that before, i chewed up some youtubes and mocked up a proof of concept in the garden today.
I'm actually quit happy with the results.

Not a finished product, but a decent enough proof of concept for me! : )

Anyway, here is my first attempt in melting and casting molten aluminium:

                              Utron small update

                              Some minor tests.

Testing the conductive properties of my Utron design. Half and whole.

                                Some more testing and learning.
