I think this might be one of the inspirations for the Gray Motor circuitry. From what I can see a lot of these energy efficient systems use high voltage and capacitors.

"A Marx generator is an electrical circuit first described by Erwin Otto Marx in 1924.[1] Its purpose is to generate a high-voltage pulse from a low-voltage DC supply."

I'd have to agree that the HV-Cap arrangement is often a part of >1 COP electrical systems, though not always. Cockroft-Walton multiplier also another way to get HV, without the spark gap:

Thanks for that. I am not suggesting we should make such huge devices, like a particle accelerator or an x-ray or microwave.

What I am saying is there are principles in physics. Like being a good lawyer you need to know the laws and cases from the past.

There are ways to manipulate the laws, like a lawyer does .

I consider past inventions from the past as case histories and the common consensus of the science community as precedent, successful experiments are the judge.

So I don't want anyone being killed by taking these risks especially, if they have no background in engineering.

But again thanks that was an interesting link and those guys back then were some pretty smart people.
