Looks great UFOP coming along nicely.

i like the connectors for set N and set S better than the others. some thing to consider for other replicators for ease of assembly. good idea UFOP as using the type of wire i used is a royal pain in the arse to bend but zero resistance..

I have one question, Why were you using resistors with part G in the first place.???

also with 20 slot commutator each tap will be on for .833 milliseconds and 1.666 seconds for peak and lows. your double contact brush width will depend on how wide your gap is between each segment.

    glad you joined us.

and glad photobroken is currantly not broken.... ha, ha, ha.

one a side note, i downloaded Walter Russels home study course. very enlightening to say the least.

if looking for core material large transformers are good but what is even better is three phase transformers. in three phase transformers all three legs are the same thickness so exact maching cores are easily attainable especially if multiple transformers are found of same make model ect. in standard transformers only the center leg is thick with outer legs at 1/2 that. just something to consider since i seen a 30 kva and a 75kva 3 phase for 200 buck on ebay. banged up but who cares all you need is the core right.
there is no way you could get that amount of core material for that price unless it was free. a 75 kva three phase transformer has enough core material for almost a complete build.

things that make you go hummm.

    • Part G Construction

Well folks after some drop damage (not from me) i repaired my part G but not finished.. i was bragging to neighbor and the doofas dropped it 10 minutes before posting, cracked the cores apart and mangled the wire pretty bad. some i had to replace and the core will need refinished but hey it's a pic. work in progress. bandaid was when i drilled a hole in finger. i would say it bounced off but then again i won't act like menbers of the other thread and just lie. ha, ha, ha.

a video can be seen at youtube. it is short but to the point.. a simple repair job from clutz neighbor.... oh well, repairs must go on.

      • Photo Albums

I noticed you guys complaining about your photo storage site being down a lot. with that and postimage about to go down so i switched to a better solution.
on this forum you have very little picture attachment storage to post pics but have basically unlimited photo Album storage on your profile pics. so what i have been doing is creating different photo albums and linking those pics to my post. this allows unlimited space and all your research in one spot for other members to copy and study to their harts content. each pick when clicked on has photo URL link at bottom of pic..... problem solved plus research is not spread all over the net.

so basically you have two places for research storage, your own computer and here.....good back up.

        • Part G

Well i'm almost about done with part G, my big fat dynamic inductor that other people think is so darn complicated....wow ! wire wrapped around a core is really hard stuff. apparently to difficult and resort back to power, heat death resistors. good luck without a part G core....how @#*& can you be. must run in the thread. blind leading the blind telling the one that can see clearly your blind. don't fugure does it.

it seams all the builders on the continuum understand this device and are moving forward. Yes, we understand you Figuera.

We will change the world people, THE CONTINUUM.

          • "Steak "a l' Resistors"

            Hey Guys,

Btw, The Guys at the other Thread are gonna be flaming my Steak...(hope they will do it)...since they would have some extra fire flames there...so let me know if you want some after they are done...

I have spent a full day getting my wires for the Primaries...no 10 awg at EIS...only in Ninety Pounders at like 450 USD ...

They also have a rectangular wire, not as wide as yours MM, but forget about their price at 200 pound spools minimum order...auch!!

I've got a 14 awg 10 pounder spool...which is the bigger gauge in that weight...plus some nice red 8 gauge wire for connections...

Coming along great...except...it is just a shame I can not fry my steak with part G...it barely gets warm...

            Regards

            • 10 awg wire

              UFOP;

Temco has 10 awg wire https://www.temcoindustrial.com/copp...155-deg-c.html but 14 awg at EIS is half the price of ANY WHERE else.
              EIS is way, way cheaper.

and you are correct the real way we are building part G will not build up heat from currant, it stores in in a magnetic field for later use unlike the heat death resistors.
we are hear to educate and enlighten the world UFOP, lets not feed the trolls. they will find out on their own the chosen path taken leads to a dead end.

and thank you David for the contribution, with your support and further donation we will give this device to the world in hopes of a greener tomorrow.
              I HUMBLY THANK YOU.

                Yeap, they are expensive!!

I got 10+ pounds of 14 awg for like $65.00 at EIS...while People above want $133.86!!!

But hey they have the 10 awg...EIS do not sell it in small quantities...so 5 pounds is $59.93...

I think it should work fine with 14 at primaries...plus I will use it as well for secondaries...except many, many more turns...

Thanks...and btw...do you want any steak?

No sir, i can't get past the BS and resistor taste, thanks for the offer though.
14 awg will work fine for primaries.

This forum is actually progressing along at an exciting rate with no time wasting arguments. I will be starting on my part "G" in a couple of days when I should be getting the parts.
Thanks to Marathon Man things are happening!

No...Seriously now...I was just making some resistors tests with my new PSU...that's all.

                        Gotcha !

I'm talking about this connector for the fourth time not the split connector. and if that is the one in the link then how did you modify it.??

                        Shadow;

Well we did have a skirmish but that was taken care of.

I thank you for your comment. yes it is amazing when you rid a thread of unintelligent trolls what you can accomplish. of course having intelligent like minded builders that listen to reason helps immensely. i wanted to lay the foundation first to get all builders on the same page then using those parameters as a guide for all to follow. now it's build time. WOO WHO !
we will shortly be having a few other like minded builders join in and together we will spread the word.

                        Good to hear from you.

                          MM,

That is exactly the one I have sent the first link ...watch at My Picture:

                          [IMG][/IMG]

Then the Pic of the one at Home Depot:

                          [IMG][/IMG]

                          Direct LINK TO HOME DEPOT

Now, like I wrote to you...There are Two (2) sizes of the same type but for bigger than 6 gauge awg (which by the way I can't find it now...I bought them a long time ago for my Electric Bike Controller heavy gauge wires)...I've got both...so on the toroid end coupling I am showing...I used the round housing with screw from the bigger gauge, then adapted the small connector (just for the looks to be the same type for both N-S) and added a piece of copper to press the two wires (you can see at my pic), since the smaller connector does not have enough width to press both wires with screw.

Hope you could find it now...when going to H.D. go to the Electrical Rack where all butt and copper connectors are...they should be there...if not, then ask for Manager and raise hell...

I see you turned the movable piece upside down so the wire will be below instead of above and added the screw. i wish you would of said that from the start. it would of saved me a whole day looking for that stupid part that didn't exist.
                            but now i know.... thanks.
if you would of cut the small piece the same size as the opening then put it in first the wires would sit snugly between it and the screw adjustment just fine or added a small piece of wire first to fit in the grove. duh !

                              MM,

Think about this...if I do not turn that piece around...then the bolt-nut would be binding with core wall and wires...no room for bolt...Uh?

But sorry, I didn't know that by just turning that piece would get you all lost with part.

Originally posted by marathonman View Post

Not that fast MM...if you would have read me well...when I wrote before I had to use housing from a bigger size assy...'cause in the typical one for 6 gauge two 8 gauge will not fit...much less three pieces of wire.

The shape of this type of housings ends in a "V" and not a square...so wire keeps sliding off as you tight.

Remember I used to rebuild big block engines...plus I have worked in automotive heavy collision frame work for a while...so fastening , bending, cutting and grinding...things is a piece of cake for me MM...

So, do not worry...it would be just beautiful...I know how to do that as well...refinishing...even with a "clear coat" on top...

                              Good nite to All...

no life story needed you just jury rigged it, that ok, it works. it seams to me all you had to do is flatten both wires at that junction and the original would of worked just fine.
anyways they will work for me if i can take a part and reverse the compression lug.
