Does anyone know what this transistor is? It's on a little SG type oscillator so I'm guessing it is a NPN but do not know what company that symbol goes to. Nobody as Mouser or Digikey can identify it.
Its a bit of a minefield trying to identify transistors from the billions Aaron. I wonder might I suggest you invest in a simple tester something like this one https://www.banggood.com/Transistor-...l?rmmds=search
It quickly goes through a few tests identifies the component and it orientation and then all the operating parameters so you've got a fighting chance to closely match it to the transistor tables and specs. or simply try a few in the instrument until you find a pretty good match. Its a bit frustrating that you'll have to lift a couple of legs or cut the PC to apply the test still its the best suggestion I can offer. works for me even doing pretty good matching of push pull circuits
kind regards Duncan
