Lunar rail gun transit rings for acceleration and rapid deceleration.

The thought occurred to me that a magnetized space craft could be hurtled back and forth between Earth and Lunar orbit by a series of Electro-Magnetic rings to allow a full speed trip. The Rings would have positioning rockets to cushion and stabilize deceleration.
