sensors - phyphox running on android

so I have an issue that someone might be able to help me with,
I am trying to have good sensors for one of my tests,
and an accelerometer is built into my android phone...
it has all kinds of neat sensors in it,
was using the app called phyphox to access it.

but my problem is that when I turn up my magnetic field to high, the android phone does some sort of screen lock...
kind of like it thinks I just closed in in a case with a magnet on it.
anyone know how to turn off that "feature" ?
that feature is blocking me from using it for what I need it for.
