Greetings everyone!
I have been fascinated for years with Ed and the mystery of how he built the coral Castle, and like some of you, I'm sure, have always wondered why an "overunity" device was not possible.
I stumbled upon the Bedini devices, and further research led me here. It feels like I have found a new "Home".
My background is Machine tool design, and the garage is full of tools to where most devices on a smaller scale can be built here.
This device looks to be versatile and relatively easy to build, but the first question I'd like to ask is if there is a current parts list somewhere I haven't looked.
I've watched all the videos, and in addition from what I have gleaned reading this thread, I have the following list;
1-12 VDC fan with modified windings (done).
1-NPN3055 transistor (or the subs on IMHOTEP's drawing)
2-N4007 rectifier diodes
1-115 VAC neon lamp
1-1K audio taper pot
2-storage batteries
Radio Shack doesn't seem to carry all the parts anymore, so I'm hoping someone might help me out with some details.
Some folks in this thread are using 2-5K pots, and I would like a recommendation for a good starting point, and if a 10 or 15 turn pot is robust enough for the task considering the voltage in question. Should it be wire wound?
What type/voltage/Ah batteries would be a good starting point for this as well as other Bedini projects?
I have accounts with Mouser and some others, so if all the parts can be had from one source, that would save some shipping.
I am located in Southern California if any other members are interested.
Thanks for any help! I look forward to be a contributing member as time goes on.
