the fan i modified is a 4 3/4" fan i bought from the electronic store.this is the largest DC fan available in my area. its not like the PC-fans with windings on 4-poles. the winding is bifilar wounded clockwise in just a circular manner - i did not rewind it - i use the original windings its #27. since its bifilar i use one wire as trigger and the other as power coil (generic bedini circuit) - with this setup it works ok. but when i add another winding on top of the original two i won't work anymore so i stick to the original bifilar and remove my addition. this is why im asking if anyne knows how to wind a fan to use two transistors. i don't have a picture of the inside yet maybe i can disassemble it later or maybe i'll just buy a new one. the box houses the circuit and the two switches for the swapper. the picture with the battery is actually running but my camera can't see it moving.

I do have computer fans that are wound like that also and they do work with my one transistor SSG circuit I have. But the five inch fan that comes with Rick's kit are larger versions of the four pole ones. Looks like stargate22 answered your question anyway.

You will have to unwind your current factory windings and go from scratch with a quad -filer wrap of "CW" / "CCW" 'til ya reach the end of the stator.
Just hook your wires the same to trans...after all , now ya have 4 wires...right?
by hexfillar you mean 6 strands right? but you only have 4 transistors - so 4-strands for power and 1-strand for trigger equals 5-strands. what's the use of the remaining 1?
same with quad-fillar for 2 transistor setup, i suppose i will only need 3?

Shingot, I am curious, are you using the r-charge fan kit 2 transistor circuit or
another one like a darlington setup or something ? I am thinking of trying your
one transistor version since I do have those kind of fans and I could never do
those little four pole fans ( Imhotep version) right.

im not using r-charger kits. it's just a fan i bought from store. yeah its easier to work on that bigger fan than those small four-poles computer fans. since all you have to do (on the bigger fan like mine) is separate the two windings then use one as trigger then the other one as power coil.
im using the same schematic/circuit with the r-charger kits but only one transistor. its an ordinary bedini circuit - one transistor, one base resistor and one diode connecting emiter to base.

i can only understand the 2 wires ( 2 at start / cw.....2 at end / ccw ) = 4 wires = 1 trans. connection
but not this 6 wires ( 6 at start / cw....6 at end / ccw ) = 12 wires = 3 trans. connections
are you using individual trigger for each transistor?
ex. 1 power - 1 trigger (for one transistor)
so, 3 power - 3 trigger (for 3 transistor)? is this what you mean..?
coz my understanding is for six-strands you can already have 5 power strands for 5 transistors triggered by 1 trigger strand. - one end of trigger wire goes to the base of each transistor (with base resistor of course) and the other end goes to the emitter of each transistor. - the ends of the 5 power stands are joined together for + supply, and the other individual ends of each power strands goes to the collector of each transistor.

I know what the r-charge circuit looks like for two transistors, but I don't
think it is legal to post it. I was wondering how you were doing two
transistors ? Or are you trying to use two single circuits together somehow?
I still want to try your single circuit setup. I already have a fan like yours
apart to do it with.
