I've just got all the parts together to try to replicate the original fan Imhotep put up the videos for. The first fan I tried I have wrecked pretty quickly but hey ho I have more to try with.
I do have one question for the smarter than me members of this community, will a 220v neon be ok in the circuit as that's all I can find over here?

Hi dougyt, I just want to clarify I'm not smarter than you ! But I like to help if I can.
The 220 volt neon will be ok but depending on the fan it may be difficult to see it flash, with an average fan the spike is unlikely to burn the transistor, with these fans it is really good to see the flash so a first timer knows when they see it, the fan is working as desired.
I actually used a 220 volt neon from an electric kettle for my fan and it did make it flash so I would say go for it.
They are easy to break aren't they I broke a few. And messed up the wiring a couple of times.
Cheers

Thanks for the reply, as an (overly) enthusiastic amateur in electronics I have put together a few simple circuits and understand basics of the components and know enough to know that high voltage can be painful (experience) or deadly (obviously no experience of the deadly voltages). Just have to find another fan in my junk boxes to start over with

I use 220v neons with no problem.
The Imhotep fan is the simplest Bedini energizer and works very well even my SSG replication is not quite as efficient. you can use it to test and replicate many other overunity concepts and circuits, do not underestimate how good it is.
Once you have got it working, build a trifilar one and compare the results, then you can wire it in the SG circuit for cap pulsing. You can also put a tesla switch style battery setup at the source and you will be astonished by its capabilities.

little addition to comp fan
hello everybody and many thanks to imhotep and other enthusiasts! built comp fan setup, got just 65v. next day connected relay [coil contacts] in series with stator generator winding. got 148v with the same 12-13v of input. about 65ma.

Question for all
time sensitive!!!!!!!!!!
A small Bedini motor with a 6 watt light as its only energy demand. How compact and how long could a Bedini motor fulfill in a dependable matter the energy needs 24/7 in a cost effective matter. All and any ideas would be welcomed. I would appreciate any insight or advice in breaking down this technology to language a man on the street could understand or terms I could use in a board room in front of investors? The Bedini overall sales pitch?? Strengths, weaknesses, and what the solutions and problems that need to be over come. At present, a small dependable and affordable motor with a maintenance free 3 year or longer lifespan would be of interest. A longer lifespan would be another goal, depending on cost and ROI projections in the future. The SVGT is a small independent company who provides unbiased and hard numbers research for construction project's around the world and in the USA. Our goal is the bottom line and showing how to save money while saving the environment.

How feasable would a 10 watt or lower Bedini motor be for a power source operating 24/7. Specifications regarding cost, life expectancy and maitanance would be appreciated. May be able to incorporate with another product for a joint venture. Came across motor on accident and have full work load but the motor has my imagination going into overtime. have a post if you have any further questions.

This is probably not the best thread to pose your questions as the fans are usually milliwatts in power. If you can find a bifilar fan with large enough coils it could be done in different ways.
You could power your light with the energy going through the trigger coil but this would require a large motor.
You could power the light with a low voltage bulb put in series with the power coil but this would reduce any overunity effect.
You could power the light with a generator powered by the motor.
The downside is this device is only to help people learn and experiment with this form of energy and is probably not practical in its current form to fulfill your requirements. You probably require a self running device for what you are doing and the Bedini fans are not self running. I have not yet achieved a self running device although I believe it is possible. Additional circuits would be required to feed the power from the spike and the generator back to the source leaving a small amount of excess power that could power your light.
I cant really tell you what parts to use to give you six watts of excess power as all the parts will need to be matched to achieve this. My experiments would suggest that you would probably need a 160w motor to get your 6w because of all the losses in the system but this may be reduced with a different battery setup.
Probably the biggest cost would be in batteries as they would need to be run at a C20 charge/discharge rate. My latest experiments indicate six batteries would be a good number to use, two in series as the source, two in parallel on the return and two being charged by the spikes. Much swapping round of batteries is required to keep the thing running so to make it practical an additional circuit would be required to do that for you.
The motor is in the region of 20 to 30% efficient so your generator will have to be of high efficiency to get anything out of it to add to the system. The spikes charge lead acid batteries batteries at an efficiency of 90+% when you use a C20 charge/discharge rate.
Doing the maths for a typical fan using realistic efficiencies.
If you require 6w and your motor is 25% efficient, your generator is 60% efficient and your battery charge is 90% efficient, the power would be
P=(0.25x0.6)=15% from the generator. As the charge efficiency from the spikes is 90% and conventional charging is 75% efficient three quarters of your generated power is going back into the system to make up the 10% loss on the spikes.
so excess power is 0.25x0.6x0.25= 0.0375 or 3.75%
So for 6w excess power you would need 160w input power.
Your batteries would need to be 160w divided by 12v then multiplied by C20 giving 266Ah
Is this starting to sound expensive for 6w of usable power? I think so. This is why we are spending more time and effort on developing better devices than the simple fan.
Expanding the thought experiment further, if we use a Tesla switch battery setup at the source as I suggested above, I think we can improve things. If we can get recovery of energy in the parallel batteries on the return of 50% we have now got an extra 80w of power to use giving us 86w. Now to get a device that gives us 6 watts of excess power we would only need an 11w fan and that would be more practical because our battery size would be around 18Ah
I hope to run tests on this when I have the time.
This system is patented so you would need to speak to John Bedini regarding any use of it to make money.
Sorry I cant give you the answers that you need but at least I can point you in the right direction. A device that was known to give 300w of power was the Lockridge device and many of us are working on different aspects of that. Common aspects of many overunity devices is regenerative circuits and pulsed DC.
Hope this helps

HI!
You need to measure the output first from the Fan, but usual its about 100V or more.
When you connect a Capacitor as charge, you see how far it charges up, and it is mostly the same as the Spikes are.
So theoretically you can charge up higher Batteries too, usual you have to disconnect the Batteries, before they go overcharged.
But since this Fans dont have a lot output in amperage, you wanna build soemthing bigger, when you wanna charge big Capacities.
Or it takes a long time till you charge ie 10Ah.
But they work well at smaller Batteries, because they need weaker Pulses, that they dont burn out.
There is a Relation at the Capacity and the Charge Power you should use for the storage Media.
Bigger Batteries can handle more Power better in one Pulse.Theorizer are like High Voltage. A lot hot Air with no Power behind but they are the dead of applied Work and Ideas.
