  • Anybody experiment with magnets and batteries?

I was thinking that maybe batteries would react to strong magnets. What if you had a plate magnet on each end of a battery so it attracts or repels the ions or electrons in the battery to make it last longer or something.

Also thought about winding a coil around the battery for tests also.

Has anyone seen this or read any info on it anywhere?

    magnetic battery doubler

    V,

    http://www.energeticforum.com/renewa...yt-magnet.html

Takahasi's YT Magnets were made into 1" square very thin magnets that could be bought in Japan. Not sure if avail anymore. Place one on a cell phone batt for example...charge it....and it lasted TWICE AS LONG as without the magnet.

It was called the "Battery Doubler". I can't even find it anymore. If you do, let me know

THOUSANDS of those things sold over there.
    Sincerely,
    Aaron Murakami

      battery magnet

Hey sounds like there may be something to it. I will do some tests. I have a big plate magnet and I will put it on a 6 volt SLA and do some chrage discharge cycles to see if it does extend the life. I need to get another plate magnet so I have one on each side of the battery also.
