That is well done and interesting, did you test to use a permanent magnet across the spark gap? Result?

I tried putting a spark gap together on the weekend...but having no experience with them....i probably did it wrong..as i was getting no sparks.....will look at it again this weekend....as well as some different grounding solutions that tesla mentions....

wow just been testing charging caps up ....and the insulated sphere "kicks but" over the insulated plates.....looks like i will have to buy another sphere.....Comment

The power of resonance
Ground resonance can occur in model helicopters, full size helicopters and everything in between. Resonance in flight is typically not encountered because the mass of the helicopter does not encounter external forces to excite the oscillation.
