Amazing Aromaz solid state CFL circuit-My Replication
OK Good news and bad news. Good news is I got it to work. Bad news is I don't really understand it. It was an all day project. I did not run the way the diagram showed. Probably something I did wrong. In the video I don't mention it but I think that I either have the 2n2222 transistor in backwards or the diagram on the package of (15) it came in was wrong. It caused me much greif. After hours of playing with it I finally had success and there was light Take a look in the video of where I ended up putting the earth ground---right into the HV of the coil. Something is not right or something strange is very very right.
Aromaz-- You are right the coil hums. I did not try multiple light bulbs yet but I will. I added a 5m pot at the 2222 base to get it to run and a 25 ohm rheostat at the battery to control current. Thanks so much for the great circuit.
Ren-- The reason that I keep burning up 555 chips is because I am not protecting them with an optoisolater. On my Lunch box circuit I used one in the cap pulser part and have never had a problem.
Bodkins-- You are going to like this one. It really makes use of the earth ground well. Maybe you and Nat can explain why.
