    Electrolux says that is more efficience than electricity and gas.

    Hey patmac,

    Yes, that induction heating is really really cool. You should type "induction heating" into Youtube and you will see some great videos.

    Yes, Electrolux can heat water transparently through many different surfaces in about 90 seconds, but some of the other videos on Youtube are melting aluminum and steel in half that time.

    Also, I think induction heating would work perfect to create flashsteam:
