I just developed an idea, manufactured it, tested it in fords. The plug was great and not really any dearer to make. upset a lot of people higher up. the plug is a double platinum ball tipped spark plug. I still have some. I am new to the internet. saw all the fuss about firestorm. so just posted my comment. happy to talk ."

Thats it, i am doing a suppression video with all the groups research on this.

    Hi Ash,

Thanks for the info, any chance of seeing your plugs? How did they perform?

If anyone is wondering, I still don't have the jig right for drilling the plug shoulder, so until then, I am doing some other research.

Ok, for the mechanically minded out there. I am also very much into Joe Cell research which has been ongoing now for a few years. Last year I had a sort of break through in that I was able to leave my motor idling for almost two hours on 2 separate occasions with fuel cut. I only found out later that the fuel return line was still allowing fumes through but normally these won't support combustion. I also drove on 3 separate for up to 15 klm's with fuel cut so I knew that the cell was doing something. Then the motor just started playing up and I shelved it for about 6 months. A few months ago, I installed it in the engine bay and for a short time all was well then nothing seemed to improve, so I just left it there. A couple of days ago, bored waiting for my jig, I started to play with it again. I knew now from experience that it works better when totally unconnected to the vehicle, so I sat it on the passenger floor on a small ply table. Then I wrapped a pvc hose around it which is connected to a water tank through which the motor draws a vacuum. I've been running this tank for a while as it tends to cool the motor and clean it at the same time. Ok, in the past the motor played up to the point where I had to spend mega bucks on a carbie overhaul. Done late last year, so the carbie should be pretty clean. Well next thing I know is that the darn thing is flooding like crazy as I am driving along - maybe block jet?? That's what I was thinking until I decided to turn the fuel off. That drained what was in the carbie and all was good. Fuel on, flooding again!! So it got to the point where I am now driving about 400m with fuel cut then give it a 1 -2 second burst of fuel and it drives fine for the most part. But now, even with fuel cut, I seem to be getting a syphoning back from the fuel return. BTW plenty of power for the time the fuel is off. Depending what speed and how I am driving, I can go for up to 1 kilometre before the fuel burst is necessary.

So, for the mechanically minded here, does it sound like a blockage in the carbie? Or do you think the fuel return is dumping too much for the carbie to handle. I am thinking of fitting a stop valve on the return line to prevent syphoning back. Now would I have the power I have if it's a blockage?

Any thoughts on this will be appreciated!

    Cheers
    Jeff

        Hi, Ozicell,
maybe you could open a new thread for discussing joecells? There is no such thread yet and I also would like to contribute as I also have some experience with joecells and moejoecells. Keep up the good work!

It's better to wear off by working than to rust by doing nothing.

            Hi Jeff at OZICELL

I have sent a couple of emails to you regarding Firestorm plug construction, but no reply. Do you want me to post the questions on the forum page or have you abandoned the plug. Please let me know so I can stop bugging you.

              Spark Plug Performance

              Hi
I just installed a Bosch platinum plus4 Spark plug.
It says Satisfaction Guaranteed "if you don't feel the Difference Bosch will pay for the Plugs.
My Comment is that they work on my Toyota RAV4 and the same incline that
I could not manage in 5th gear allows me to negotiate now.
No scientific measurement but I cant knock the slogan from Bosch.
Further improvement came by using Acetone and Xylene plus two teaspoons of two stroke high temp oil per 5 gallons.

                  Update

                  Hi Guys,

I thought I had better post an update to let you all know where I am at! I am still running on points with a standard coil - no CDI or HEI. However, a change to the distirbuter and a coil upgrade are on the table. My distributor upgrade kit will not be available until January so on that front, things are on hold!

Regarding the plug, the jig I was waiting on went back to the manufacturer today as it was not right, so at this stage - no new plugs yet!

The plug that you see open air on YouTube has ben running in my car for over 1000Klm's, and, as I suspected, the ball finally unscrewed and shorted out against the cage! I designed it this way so that it couldn't come loose and come off into the chamber itself. The shorting was the worst that could happen.

Now, this was timely and a good thing as it has forced me to look into high temperature adhesives. To my surprise there are many that are rated at over 1000C one is I think around 3000C. Of course these are expensive and I am trying to get sample quantities only. Now that I have found these glues though, it's going to make them easier for the backyarder to make their own. There will be no need for welding the cage!

I fully intend when it all comes together of posting a DIY video on YouTube detaing the steps and how I went about it. Please be patient until then. I haven't forgotten about you guys.

Now off to the Water Spark Plug thread to ask a question!

                  Cheers
                  Ozi
